Gia Jewellery - La Lucia Mall

Disappointed. 30th October we bought 2 wedding rings from Gia and they needed a resize. Without checking on the materials the lady assisting us, Sharon, told us it would be R125 /R150 per ring to resize. We agreed to do it closer to our wedding day.Last week we went back to Gia to get the sizes done and the gentleman then told us it will be R250 to resize my partner's ring, as its rose plated, and mine (which isnt rose plated) will be the normal cost. We were a bit confused and mentioned that was not what was told to us when purchasing the rings. The manager on duty then said okay if that is not what was said then the charge will be as per what Sharon said.Today, 7th December we went to fetch our rings-excitedly. Whoops we forgot the receipt in all of our rushing. We were under the impression that we paid, but we went to go fetch the receipt and it was just the receipt for collection. Low and behold to our suprise the cost was R500! Not sure why this over charge took place as the slip has no information. Also, this was not what was discussed and agreed on. Not sure why the customer must suffer for misinformation. My fiance was made to feel very small during this process which frankly isn't great for the already stress of a wedding. We are sorely disappointed in this shop

Always have great experiences with this store. Great for gifts. One tungsten ring cracked after a while, had no issues with the exchange.
