Mangwanani The Capital Hotel Zimbali

Honestly, terrible for a signature spa in Zimbali. Therapists where unfriendly and looked to tired to be at work. Spa is open till 11pm our treatments where supposed to be from 8pm to 10pm however they mixed up our treatments as reception and the Therapists seem to not communicate really disappointed I think a small spa has more etiquette . We didn't even get our full package however managment did say we can come back for it. They don't even have glasses for water for clients. For the price they charge it really is not signature

My daughter and I visited the The Capital Mangwanani Spa in January. Whilst all the staff are polite and friendly, and the decor beautiful. The therapist however require a lot more training for the price you pay. The massage was mediocre, half way through we had to ask the therapist to dim the bright lights, the mats in the room were soaking wet, not sure why?I was so happy to hear we have two new spas to use, but now we will have to look elsewhere. It’s a pity. The price and service do not match.

The therapists at the spa were extremely unfriendly and we did not have a pleasant experience. We were extremely disappointed with the service and the massage. Staff need to be friendly and should have some sort of training.

The therapists were excellent but management leaves a lot to be desired. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They got their prices wrong...the times wrong....the duration of the treatment wrong....we were told that we couldn't lie on their beds because we didn't have a booking with the spa and we did make bookings. I booked and paid for a 55mins treatment and was given a 40 mins treatment. I was totally disappointed and sadly this weakens the enjoyment of the full experience. In fact for the prices they charge, I expected it to run a lot smoother and more professional. Will not be using Mangwanani ever again.

I hosted a Corporate Client Spa day at the Zimbali Signature Spa and it was such a phenomenal experience. From the moment we walked in the doors we were pampered and spoiled. It was everything you expect from a 5 star Spa. The lunch was exceptional and my guests loved the prawn curry. All my guests really enjoyed themselves and we received compliments all around. Thank you to the team at Zimbali Spa. We will be back.

The Mangwanani Spa in Jhb is so much better than the one here. Not worth the money to be honest.Thought id try it out, even though the price was steep. No drinks offered on entry. Therapist seemed a bit lethargic. Not a nice experience at all. Sorry. (I am sad that I didn't read the reviews beforehand)

We booked a spa experience at the Mangwanani signature spa at Zimbali for our anniversary.The treatment we received from employees at the spa was terrible.We weren’t shown restrooms/ locker rooms upon our arrival- we also weren’t shown anywhere to change and had to change in the treatment room.Afterward we asked if there were showers on the premises and the therapist told us that there are not. She also escorted us out the door the moment we were done with treatment. We only later found out from the hotel that there were in fact showers- only that the therapist either lied to us about it, or doesn’t know the place she works at? We also lodged a complaint on their contact page, with no response.Please ensure that clients are all treated with respect and that they feel welcome at your establishment- especially when they pay so much for a treatment.

My wife and I went to the Mangwanani Signature Spa located in the Capital Hotel in Zimbali for our anniversary. The prices are quite steep. For a hour massage here you can get a half day package in Johannesburg. The masseuse was decent but definitely not 5 star quality. There was no aircon, so they had to open the door to the outside because it was stuffy. So you could hear all the children screaming and shouting at the pool. Not exactly a calm and relaxing environment. There were also another couple who sat right outside by the door so we felt like we had no privacy.The shower didn’t work, there was no bin to put used gowns and towels in the bathroom. If you are gonna charge 5 start rates you must deliver a 5 star service a d not just say sorry and nothing comes of it. Seeing some of the other comments makes it seem like this bad service delivery is a common occurrence.

Probably the worst experience with a spa and specifically the manager that I have ever encountered. Once we arrived we were charged more than double the price we originally saw on the website. We tried to clear it up with the manager but was met with empty promises. I have tried emailing both the manager at this facility and HQ, with absolutely no response. Would have given 0 starts but that was not an option.

I recently visited the Spa for a mani, pedi and full body massage - it was one of the best massages I have received.Additionally, I must commend staff for being extremely accommodating and taking extra care with my grandmother - they ensured her first spa experience was a memorable one.
