We loved our trip out of St Lucia to this wonderful road side cafe. Super friendly people, delicious meal (especially the vetkoek) and lovely relaxed setting under the trees. The kids came out with their pet bunny and Guinea pig and had a chat and the ladies brought out a tub of water to wash our hands before lunch. No choices but what we had a was tasty and authentic. Go on, be adventurous !!

Super friendly woman!Go there if you stay in St -Lucia and you want to eat like locals do. They have vetkoek (like doughnut) , papa or stew with cow head.It is very cheap for foreigner standards, almost free.. and homemade. And the restaurants in St- Lucia are all tourist traps without decent African food. So why do'nt give it a try?

Great place to have road side meal or venture out from Saint Lucia for lunch. Menu according to what has been cooked that morning. Incredible warm people and cold beers

This is a totally local, totally family owned, family run roadside restaurant. The two women who run it are super friendly, super hard-working, and deserve all the support that can be given them. They serve stewed cow's head and papa (very traditional zulu fare). It's amazingly good. They've also got the best fat cook (doughnut) in the area. They've got plans to expand the menu with veggies, gravy, chicken and brai.Don't expect silverware, tables, or anything remotely fancy. This is as basic as it gets. But, it's super tasty and you'll remember it forever.
