I wish I could give this a 6 star rating! John The Wedding Guy is nothing short of amazing! He made me feel comfortable from that very first phone call where I asked him if he is available for our wedding date. I was so nervous but after speaking to him I felt completely at ease and I knew that I had made the right decision to use him for our wedding. He is patient and kind and passionate about his work. He tailors your ceremony to your needs and is very professional but yet so warm and friendly. I highly recommend John The Wedding Guy. I have no doubt that he will make your wedding day truly special and memorable for you, your partner and all your guests as he has done for me and my husband. We used John, The Wedding Guy as our marriage officiant for our wedding, as he came highly recommended and was seen on all the right wedding sites etc. First impressions, he looks wonderful, has all the information and YouTube links on ceremony types and seemed very helpful. He provided a good wedding ceremony, but sadly that’s where it ended.A few weeks after our wedding, we discovered our marriage wasn’t registered. I had followed up with John on numerous occasions and via different platforms (cellphone, WhatsApp and email) to ask him for a copy of our Marriage Registry and to follow up on when he would register our marriage. He didn’t respond to any of my emails, messages or calls. He even rejected some of my calls.With no luck of getting hold of him ourselves we got our wedding coordinator to follow up with him. She too had no luck as he simply blamed Home Affairs for the delay. A few weeks later, however, we were still unmarried and no response from John.With no other option, we had to contact and pay a 3rd party to assist us with our marriage. Such a pity as at first he seemed great but never followed through on his service. We are yet to receive an explanation/response from John as to why he withheld our documents or didn’t register our marriage in the first place. Registering our marriage was part of the service he offered and that we had paid for. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend him as an officiant.

I booked John for my wedding. After I made a 50% deposit on the 17th of November 2022 ….I never received any reciprocal communication from him. He did not even acknowledge the receipt of my payment.I then got very suspicious of his behaviour. I followed up multiple times and the final message (mind u this was after 2months) I sent him was demanding my money back and if not I will take it further he then responded saying he will refund my monies and then went cold turkey on me.I would not reccommend him to anyone!!!Pay back my money John.

We had a great experience with John.The whole process was really easy and stress free - he has videos and documents that help you plan the ceremony and show you what you can expect from him on the day.We had a few virtual sessions and then met for a coffee in the week of the wedding.Thanks for a great ceremony!

John was amazing through every step of our wedding journey. He had a wonderful way of personalizing and capturing the pure essence of our ceremony. He's got a great sense of humor, was very well dressed and presented, and just overall great to share the experience with.Thank you John for making our wedding ceremony so special. ❤️

Our guests also enjoyed the message and John as a whole based on comments we received afterwards. The interaction John had with our guests kept them engaged throughout the ceremony.

John is amazing at what he does. He really knows weddings and is so accommodating. We are so grateful and thankful to John for the way he handled our wedding. Especially since he went out of his way to help the groom with mishaps and the way he calmed him down before the ceremony. He's professionalism is exceptional. Thank you John!
