We stayed in the BISH villa, one of the 2 villas on the property that have a small kitchenette area, a bedroom area with TV and sofa and a bathroom. The villas are across the small pool from each other, on the main walkway into and out of the front entrance to the complex, so it is a bit noisy as guests walk between the rooms that are in and behind the main guest house to the front entrance. It is also not very private as the guests walking by have a full view through the sliding glass doors into the bedroom unless you keep the drapes closed making the room quite dark (there were no shear curtains). The kitchen area had a refrigerator and microwave and some cups and glassware with a French Press (Plunger) and coffee. No detergent to clean dishes but the maids will replace them if you ask for service. The two chairs at the kitchen “bar” table were too tall, resulting in only 2 inches (about 5 centimeters) of clearance between them and the underside of the table, so it was impossible to sit with your legs under the table. The worst was the Google Voice controller and the tablet for supposedly controlling the lights, shades/curtains and the heating/cooling. The tablet was plugged into a socket that did not charge so it died. The staff left us a cable so we could plug it into a working USB port on the other side of the bedroom, but it takes a long time to get a sufficient charge before the tablet can connect again to the smart-home controller and then it did not always do so successfully. The Voice controller was never able to connect to the Smart Home app (even after repeated attempts by the staff), but who wants to shout “Hey Google! Turn on the bathroom light!” at 3am when your partner is sleeping next to you. And since there is no physical switch for the bathroom light, you have to hope you can find and turn on the tablet and make sure you can see the touchpad clearly enough to turn on the bathroom light and not the bedroom light. Neither the overhead bedroom nor kitchen lights had manual switches either, so when the tablet died or lost connectivity, you could not turn anything on or off. We left the bathroom light on since we were too afraid to turn it off which is a waste of electricity. The shades never connected to the network. The shade in the kitchen and one of the two in the bedroom area did not work at all. The one that did work required you to press a switch on the rod which is about 7 feet (210 centimeters) above the ground, so you need to be tall to reach it. The drapes over the pool facing windows also did not connect to the controller and there were no rods to open them so you had to pull on the drapes themselves to open them; doing so moved both drapes. The heating/cooling unit seemed to just shut off on its own and would only come back on after 8:00 in the morning, which made for some uncomfortable nights. There was a pellet stove, but the instructions on it were to only use it through the Voice or tablet controller. We opted to be cold rather than not be able to turn it off if the tablet died.Over our week long stay, we worked repeatedly with the staff to address the issues, but gave up after the third day. We did send an email on November 4, 2022 listing all of the issues so that the management would have a convenient list in one place to work from, however, we never received a response so we have no idea if any of the items were addressed. What we did like were: the friendly staff; the hearty, delicious, made to order, breakfasts (from 7:30 to 10:00); and the convenient back entry through to the adjacent property (SaltyCrax hostel) which had a small bar.

Sitting at this disastrous accomodation.Complete violation of their own policy. The entire venue booked out for a function.Advised that no smoking throughout property - strictly in designated areas. However smoking of cigarettes and cannabis throughout the entire property.Advertised as only for Adults. Children running around property amongst 'drunk and high attendees' unattended by the pool area.Completely mess - empty food boxes, alcohol bottles, rubbish all over the property.Alleged sound proof rooms - entire event audible from rooms.Staff are completely unaware of their own policies; unable to assist at all. Completely naive around the concept of Hospitality. Particularly Chris.Mpho, the manager or the property, refuses to make contact with us at all. Refused to come out and address concerns raised. No security measures at all - front door Completely open with people walking in as they please.Left stranded.5 stars is clearly an aspiration, not a true reflection.

My heart is heavly broken as I write this. Was there on 30.07 night, was asked for security fee of R250 which was never mentioned upon my booking, what if I did not have moneyI was told it will be refunded on 05.08, later on 05.08 I sent whatsapp and I was told I will get later that day. Pass week end Monday I was told it has been done that morning. Today is 10.08 all they do is ignoring my whatsapp, still do not have my money I was supposed to buy medication. I am so so frustrated I need I actually want my money

A very gorgeous space. I really like that although it was shared, it was mostly an independent experience because each guest has their own access codes and each room has its own mini kitchen. The rooms are fitted with Google Home which really makes for a seamless living experience, and the interior design and architecture of the spaces were quite gorgeous. It does have a communal pool and sunbathing area in the middle of all the rooms, which does reduce the privacy a little bit. Overall, very lovely snd would definitely recommend if you're someone who loves a bit of a communal, beachy vibe.

Win! Win! Win!What a stunning boutique stay. We absolutely loved our time here. And would definitely recommend if you're either looking to explore the Table View area or a staycation with your partner.I spent a good load of time in the pool, kitchen and chill areas. We loved it.

The guest house does not consider business people for breakfast.Breakfast is included in the rate, but only served after 08:00 in morning, therefore if you have business appointments, you will not be able to have breakfast before 08:00.The night manager assisted by cooking breakfast for me on the first morning...After I have returned from work late evening, I arrived back in my room and found that the room was never serviced.I then had to go to the guest house kitchen, where I had to prepare my own take-away breakfast, as I was leaving early the following morning. The milk in the room fridge was so old, it looked like yogurt and the cups and glasses were all dirty.

This is a great place. The side of the house that has this swimming is excellent and exceptional. The side of the house that is Backpackers, I wiah it can be upgraded to reflect and compliment the other upper class side. That side looks a bid dodgy and less appealing. However, lovly place. Very great rooms.
