What The Fluff Laundromat

I will NEVER again use What the Fluff services! They are consistently late: always over-promising and under-delivering. We used to do all our monthly laundry here, spending thousands of Rands a month, but NEVER again! The service is just too inconsistent. The second last time, they forgot to iron our clothing and so we had to return the following day. The last time, they did not have our things ready by the time promised, and again we had to return the next day. Each time, paying the R10 parking fee! Just unacceptable!

Excellent service, clean clothes, kind attendants. Use this laundry (pay-by-kilo) if you are in the Waterfront area. They delivered to my hotel! Highly recommended!

So disappointing. My daughter is a loyal customer. I have been calling, but only reach an answering machine. They 'lost' a double bed fitted sheet!! How on earth? And we are just not getting any response or even a way to contact them. I cannot afford to spend so much money on unnecessary buys.

We were 8 days into our trip and had a bundle of laundry when we arrived in Capetown. Rather than paying outrageous hotel prices, we looked for a self serve laundromat but found What The Fluff instead. We checked it out while in a walk. The proprietor was delightful and explained their services clearly. Next morning, we slung our sack of clothes over our shoulder like Santa's bag, walked across the road and up the stairs, and dropped then off. Service is priced per kilo, with a small upcharge for ironing, and another small charge to deliver back to our hotel. We went off on a day long tour and returned to stacks of clean, fresh clothing. Socks were neatly paired, and none were eaten like out washer at home does. The bill was a fraction of the hotel service.Highly recommend you make the walk up the stairs in the car park if you want clean clothes and smiling service!

NEVER USE THIS PLACEThe manager was so sure of not messing up my sweater hence why I paid a bit more for assurance but this is what I got. The white part's all stained with red and I can't wear this month old sweater now. There was no issue when I did it myself at 30-40 degrees as the label says meaning they used too hot water but no apology no compensation and not even an acknowledgement call from the owner Wayne when I left my phone number and waited for a few days. Never use this place and don't trust what the person usually sitting at the front desk says. She's very assertive and promises a lot but they deliver worse results and are only more expensive than other places.

If I could give 0 stars I would give zero. Brought in my laundry to discover today that they managed to completely mess up my Levis Jeans. Whoever owns a pair knows that they are almost indestructible so I have no clue what they did there. Clearly incompetent and don‘t waste your money there ever. Thanks for ruining a 110$ pair of pants.

When visiting Cape Town, we stayed a The Newmark Hotels 100m away from What the Fluff. We were recommended this place as the prices are extremely affordable - R200 for 5kg (roughly $11 USD for 11 lbs of clothes). We washed our clothes twice and spent R200 in total. We worked with the staff here to clean and fold our laundry, and drop it off at our hotel, while we were going to be away from Cape Town when they closed. The staff was more than happy to drop off our laundry to our hotel so we had our clean clothes. I would've given them a 4.5-4.8/5 star review, but could only do 4 stars. That is because when we received our laundry there was a pair of socks and one miscellaneous sock that was not ours. It made us question if any of our clothes were mixed with someone else's laundry. It is at your own risk, but they did an excellent job at cleaning and folding our laundry in a timely manner and they were pleasant to work with.

I dropped off 4 bags of laundry this morning and was greeted by a lovely friendly lady who took care of it for us. Everything was great, very professional service and very good value.Thank you again. Wonderful business

We wish we would've known about this place earlier in the trip. We spent so much money on the hotel laundry fees and we spent so much time hand washing stuff. We dropped off several bags of clothes on Saturday afternoon and picked them up Monday around noon. Clothes smelled great and were neatly folded, the price was very reasonable. The ladies that work there were very pleasant. It is located in a spot that might be hard to find but just follow the instructions that they have on the Google listing and you'll get there without any issues.

Service is okay but all my new branded T-shirts got shrunken when I got it back as well as receiving 2 incomplete pairs of socks back also branded. Basically if you are a laundry service you should know what and what not to throw into the dryer to avoiding shrinking peoples clothing and loosing peoples clothing as well. Very unhappy
