Best service just too slow

I have just returned from this police station. I am physically shaking and emotionally traumatised. I am a petite 61 year old woman who simply wanted to get a case number and have my affidavit signed. When I entered the station, all personnel on duty were busy watching SABC1 on TV. The station was quiet. I had to ask a constable Mathavha to please assist me. He was not pleased. Fortunately my husband was with me so although I have a great fear for police and police stations (I have probably had 2 occasions to visit a police station) because I am afraid of their abuse of power. For example, I was stopped on a residential road close to my home, by a police officer once and asked for a bribe to ignore an alleged traffic infraction I did not commit. Another time I was stopped and by a police officer to check my drivers' licence and was verbally roughed" up when I asked a question about what he was doing. Needless to say - I do not find police or police stations pleasant. The long and short of my tonight's experience is that Constable told a blatant lie to a senior officer about his aggressive interaction with myself and my husband. He rebuked me because I asked him to speak to his colleague (to whom he was discussing me matter) in English because I am Canadian and speak only English. He blatantly refused and told me he will speak whatever language he wanted to speak and I must keep quite. His colleague

Came to report an car accident and they weren’t helpful at all. First of all yelling because the one lady gave me 2 instead of one affidavit and I filled out both and then having to wait for 3 hours whilst the register the affidavit? And no one is helping. Truelly the worst police station. I will not be going back!!

Very unprofessional, very disappointed, been here more than 4 hours to report an abuse case. The officer are uneducated and very rude. Don't even know the law. I'll never return to this station.

This Situation right now at Brooklyn Station right now. Haai!!I have been in the queue for more than an hour. The queue is very long. Only one police woman is taking statements! She has been busy with one client for more than an hour. One policeman said he is not helping anyone. The other policeman left us waiting in the queue because he was going for lunch. I am shocked at the appalling service provided. I have been here before and have never seen anything like this. WHAT'S HAPPENING MZANZI!!!!

Slow pace...just like the arrest rate

In an imperfect system where a firearm license takes more time than it should. It was a absolute pleasure to do my application via Brooklyn Police station. The ladies there where friendly, helpful and made the experience much more pleasant than expected. I am sure they had a mountain of applications after amnesty ruling but thanks to you Nancy, Katie and team.

I received great service here. I was in a bumper bash and had to make a report. I was third in the line and it was pleasant to sit there and chat with the other people waiting while the very polite and friendly officer helped us each in turn. Whole process was quick and painless. I really appreciate when a police station is neat, friendly and doesn't waste your time.
