Floreat Riverside Lodge

Wifi connection does not work in the rooms where we sleeping in. Food was great. The staff are very humble and friendly. I have lot of allergies however I still managed to eat from the breakfast buffet. The water in the bathroom is never cold it does not matter what time of the day you bath because I do not take kundly to bathing with lukewarm to cold water.

Location of the place is good, the place has nice facilities outside & beautiful views. Loved the breakfast however our room was not properly cleaned, sheets not changed & had a funny smell when we arrived.Rooms for couples could do with a lil bit makeover. Nothing special about them & you could hear people making noise on the room next door.

Horrible experience and not worth the money. Please don't go to this place.We stayed in a self catering unit. From the get go our aircon wasn't working. There's very limited self catering equipment. The beds were beyond disgusting (see images). The units are old and dirty and not worth the almost R7k we paid for two nights. Trucks drive past your window day and night.The pool and view was nice though.

Pity I cannot recall the receptionist that assisted us... I enjoyed my stay and my money there...no regrets

It was an amazing stay and so affordable. Very peaceful and the view is amazing. My partner and I will definitely go back there soon

One can see the potential in this place. Lovely surroundings, impressive buildings. Does however need work. The pool floor is so slimy and slippery. That, in itself, is gross, but ad to that the fact that there are no steps to get into the pool. Instead there are sloped sides, like beaches, one has to walk down, slip and hit your head on the concrete. Parents wanting their children to swim must be super vigilant as in addition to the slipping hazard there are also submerged platforms inside the pool, which make it fun for adults to hang around but extremely dangerous for children to play. The platforms have extremely sharp edges and corners.Changerooms are provided next to the pool but do not attempt to use it if you do not want to get sick. It smells worst than the public toilets on Johannesburgtrain station.

Please do not waste a moment of your time or your money on this place. The room was clean but only because we insisted on it but places like window sills are filthy because no one cares. The building is neglected and dilapidated, you can tell that it was once a beautiful place but management has clearly decided they don’t care.The lady who checked us in was lovely but after that w e got terrible service from a man who was sent to give us remotes. A “I don’t care” attitude. The acoustics are terrible, you can hear everything your neighbor does. Loud music is permitted and trucks drive by through out the night making peaceful sleep impossible. Breakfast was a mess. Bacon looked old. The eggs on day 1 looked like they were made by a 6 year old.The state of the hotel is the state of Sabie, dilapidated and not worth your while.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I would not recommend wasting your time and hard earned money!!! Aircon not working, fridge not working, no warm water, bed is terrible. Toaster at the breakfast is broken on the one side, not enough food. Staff unfriendly. Spa only 1 masseuse no couples packages for Valentine’s Day, and the lady is only available on her own time. COMPELETE DISSAPOINTMENT considering the price we paid. Minus 10 out of 5!!!!!

The scenery is surreal. Only issue was the AC not working and the plumbing in our room but we were moved! Staff is so friendly and the FOOD IS THE BOMB!
