Flew in from Cape Town and was starving. A friend said meet him at Harv Table and, I was pleasantly surprised. Instant attention to the customer, no pressure to immediately know what you’re ordering and the menu wanted me to order everything on it. Ordered the Lamb chops and Rosè. Suffice to say, I was not disappointed. Location, atmosphere, interior and all round vibe tells me I’ll be back more than one more time. Highly recommend.

Good place for family and friends, great atmosphere; tables are apart from each other allowing for privacy. The food is fantastic and they have a variety of cocktails as well as a good bar. I had a fantastic time and will surely be back.

We had an amazing experience in this establishment. Food was amazing, drinks were flowing and music was on point. They have small things they do that sets the apart i.e. welcome gwinya with atchar and washing of ones hands. Keep up the good service.

Cozy restaurant inside a shopping mall in Morningside. The menu includes traditional South African menu, like creamy samp, boiled chicken stew, dumplings, pap, ox tongue, smilie & mogodu. A lovely range of cocktails & an impressive wine list. Tried the refreshing Savanah cocktail as well as the vetkoek & atchaar starter. If this is not your thing, they also have a normal menu from roast chicken, lamb cutlets & fish. It's a great spot for afternoon sundowners, cigar lounging. Weekends they have life music. Apparently it gets quite busy so make sure you book.

So, the Harv has a lovely atmosphere, mustard and blue nice clean environment BUT ai man the food was just terrible, I had the avco and bacon and my companion had the Mexican club(it was very underwhelming not at all what we expected)Food was dry, bacon was hard.. let me end here I'd go there for drinks again but I'd skip the food

Had a quick stop in this afternoon for a meeting. Was pleasantly meet by the staff and owner, Leko. It's one of the first places I've been offered to wash my hands at a restaurant in a bucket and bowl of soapy water, carried by a waitress. The food was of a good quality. The atmosphere... I wasn't there long enough to experience it properly. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

We went to The Harv Table for a team year end lunch. We went mid week on a Wednesday and they gave us our own private space. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason am giving a 4 star is that some of the meals on the menu were not available, but it make sense because we went there early and it shows that they serve customers fresh food. Will definitely go back again and again.

I have never been as disappointed in a restaurant as this! This place is deserving of minus stars.Whilst I can't speak to the food, I can speak to the management which is the worst I have ever seen and experienced. My friend booked a baby shower, spoke to one of their waitrons in person, advised of her budget and desires and they noted her details in their book. She put me in charge of it, so I accordingly called the restaurant to confirm details and requirements. Was told to come in to pay a deposit which would go towards our total spend on the day.I accordingly went in as advised ready to book and pay deposit.Sat with the manager and the waitron who had spoken to my friend, discussed details, manager left and I finalised details with waitron. Waitron advised that deposit not required as we would be coming as normal patrons and not reserve the private room.On the day of the shower, which was about 3 days after I went in person, I arrived about 1hr early to set up the decor for my friends shower to be told that the waitron I discussed everything with no longer works there and the manager who was present on the day I attended started talking about how we need to pay R2500 to set up decor even though on the 3 times we had spoken to the restaurant, this was never advised.Moreso he wanted an exorbitant amount for deposit which was dropped on me an hour before the event.Whilst I have no qualms with them wanting a deposit, we had visited this place twice and phoned to confirm details of the shower to have a bomb dropped on us on the day, even worse an hour before, as if purposely done to leave us stranded. The manager treated me with utter disrespect and treated us like sub class citizens. The level of nonsense was unbelievable, notwithstanding his nonsense we managed to book a beautiful spot at a 5 star hotel and had a wonderful baby shower no decor deposit required. My disappointment was with the manager's utter disrespect and attitude towards an event we had timeously planned for and arranged with the restaurant in person and on more than one occasion. An even he himself was aware of.Had we been told in advance about them wanting payments to set up simple decor for a baby shower, we would have made the relavant arranagements. To tell us an hour before the event and Moreso treat us like subclass citizens is unbefitting of a restaurant that claims to care and respect its patrons.Again, I am utterly disappointed by the level of disrespect shown an hour before a pre arranged event such as a baby shower.DO BETTER.

My wife and I enjoyed a brief but very memorable stop at Harv Table yesterday and we will be back. The food, atmosphere, drinks and service were all excellent! We were served by Jabu and Douglas who made us feel extra special and went above and beyond. The cocktails were some of the best I had had in South Africa and the African cuisine was rich and tasty! Thoroughly recommend going here.
