One of the best places to spend a Cape Town summers day, worth the R70 entry fee. I’m coming back here at least twice every summer.

100% recommend going to see the wildflowers in bloom over July/August. It is truly spectacular. Take a picnic with you and you’ve got an amazing day out along the West Coast if you’re combining it with a trip to Langebaan.

Beautiful unspoilt scenery and the most amazing displays of nature’s beautiful flowers. Fields of colour as far as you can see. Set aside a few hours to drive to all the different viewing points. Make sure to take along food and drinks for your trip. Many of the roads in the park were dirt but were quite manageable in an normal sedan.

The park was nice and clean and the roads are well maintained. Entrance was R100 for adults. The flowers in Postberg was a bit disappointing although it was a sunny day, so not sure why some weren’t really open. (Edit to add: After some research it’s best to go midday.) It is very far to drive in from the Langebaan entrance gate. Also didn’t see much wildlife. Perhaps another time might be a better experience! Visited on 21 August ‘22.On 9 April ‘23 we visited again for a braai at Tsaarsbank. There are built-in braai areas with spectacular views of the atlantic ocean!

An excellent nature reserve to visit. If you wanting to get out of town pack a picnic and make a day of the nature reserve and all it has to offer. In season the flowers are out in full force and it makes for great views and pictures. Make sure to take your allergy medication if you need to. There is plenty of different spots to explore. Take it slow and make sure you packed in the sunblock.

I cannot believe such a majestic place exists in our country and yet little is know of it. I strongly recommend that a stop here should be included as part of a Cape Town and to pay a visit to the town of Langebaan close-by. The park has many beautiful animals and viewpoints such as Seeberg and the Atlantic Ocean.

We saw snakes, tortoises, ostriches, and buck. The highlight was seeing sandsharks in the Langebaan lagoon, which is in the park. We were literally standing over them as we walked in the water. There was a stink over the lagoon due to the rotting seaweed, but the rest of our experience made up for this unpleasantness.

Had a lovely time at the Lagoon of the National Park . To enter its R70 for an adult and R35 for a child . A long drive in to the lagoon , approximately 25 mins from the entrance of the national park . Other wise its wonderful currently they in the process of building toilets other than that the beach at the lagoon is great .
