Wow wow wow!! Just phoned inn! To place a order for my child Gr1 3 quarter stationery! I just want to walk in pay and walk out! The lady over the phone was so friendly and sayd no problem! I can just ask for her when we get there! Wow so friendly!!

Ribbens Office National has been running a radio ad for weeks in the Cape, advertising their Spring sale - 30% off all items and one item per customer at R1 per item (including electronics). In all the weeks there was absolutely no mention made of a limit on the number of R1 items; e.g. 'only available to the first (however many) customers'. There was a clear expectation that anyone who went there today could buy stuff at 30% and one item for R1. This morning at 04h10, we were at the store. There was already a line (even though curfew only ended at 04h00) and we were given the numbers 72, 73 and 74. Not too bad, we thought. Sat in the cold and dark until 08h00 when the store opened. What an utter waste of time! There was perhaps 10 items available at R1, if that. The very first few people could buy these and then the poor embarrassed staff members had to explain to the rest that there was nothing left. And their embarrassment was plainly visible. I really felt sorry for them.At the very least, this should have been made clear in the advertisement. It is no use saying 'limited numbers' (as on their Facebook page) - this could mean anything from 1 to 1000. Of course one understands that they cannot have thousands of items available for R1, but then make it quite clear that only the first 10 or 20 or 50 people would be eligible. Do not make your advertisement sound as if this is available to all comers and then pull a fast one like that. This is false advertising.

My review is regarding their online sales. Many of the items I ordered were not available, I think the store itself doesn't stock the items therefore it wasn't a matter of waiting for stock to come in. This meant lots of back and forth between the store and I on what to replace the items with, I really just wanted exactly what I ordered (school requirement list). If it wasn't for the staff (Amy in store and Gehard driver) I'd give 1 star...In summary, don't order online go to the store rather. The online sales process is as inefficient as they come. Phoned 9.35 nobody could assist on phone switchboard lady took my number and promised someone will call back. 12.37 nothing phoned again, again no sales people can assist promised again they will call back. Sorry will shop at another company. This is what you call bad service!!

I made contact with them 2weeks ago and the lady by the name Elizabeth Basson responded to my email and I emailed the stationary list to her immediately on 28 December. I contacted her on 03 Jan and she informed me that she is currently busy with it and will have it with me by COD on that day and yet nothing to day. I have been calling them every day most probably 8 times and she is constantly to busy to come to the phone and each person takes down my details without any response from Elizabeth. Is this how Office National staff treat clients as I am utterley appalled by this level of service that staff can even respond to a simple email since Monday. No one is too busy not to check emails.

I am disappointed on how you treat us as clients. I am the one calling Elizabeth everyday and the lady Cindy keeps on saying she is not on her desk and she will pass the message to Elizabeth to call me back and she never does that. I made a payment on 17th Dec of January 2023 and sent the proof of payment to Elizabeth, today is the 9th of March 2023 still waiting for the stationery for my child. I regret why I bought stationery through you.How would you feel if your child goes to school without stationery while you have paid. Start treating clients with respect and stop dodging phone calls and promise that stationery will be delivered the following day.I am truly not happy at all. I don't see myself doing business with you guys.

Not really impressed with the speed of the admin/finance department. Bought a very expensive printer sent through the proof of payment, but NO acceptance of email received, thank you or come and collect your printer..Not impressed. Previous day bought office furniture...one extra item delivered, that we clearly stated we don't want. Now waiting for the credit...wonder how long this is going to take.

So impressed with the service. Gave them a list of stationery and a few days later received a call to say my box with everything in it was ready. Thank you to Monique for the assistance.
