The IIE's Varsity College - Cape Town

Clean and well maintained area, with ample security and general staff. All employees are friendly and always provide assistance when approached. All in all a good general experience and atmosphere.

Two years in a row of having incorrect billing on my account. The first year it happend it took over a month for the money to come back into my account after they deducted money from my account when my fees were paid upfront for the year!This time around its taken me close to a month of trying to even get hold of someone to sort the issue out. Same problem as last time. My account is paid in full each year but for some reason they charge my account with tens of thousands!Phones just ring constantly or the accounts department is not available which seems to be the norm. No response to my email in nearly a month. Pathetic service for a student that has been with them for 5 years. They are very happy to send out sms threating legal action (for a problem that is on their side) but yet dont get any communication regarding graduation etc. Just as bad as a government institution.

This institution is unorganized and despondent. Trying to call the college is something else, the 5 times I've called them, has been a 5 minute wait on hold. With the amount paid for my education does no mean quality in return or professionalism. I'm hoping to actually get any response from varsity college via this review. The administration is shocking, they've put the phone done while speaking.Highly recommend you don't apply to this college.

*Non-refundable Pre-Registration Fee*I was advised by Ezra Naidoo who was representing the college. I come from US so this was very new to me in terms of an application and well as a transfer of credits. My initial engagement with the advisor was that I was coming from another university with the hopes of completing at Varsity college.Long story short: received an offer letter, spoke to Ezra to let him know that the offer letter merely stated acceptance but not acceptance to second year as we discussed in the meetings. I was told by the head of the campus (Mr Saleem Jackson) that because I don’t have it in writing that Ezra guaranteed second year acceptance I have no grounds to stand on. The reason for contacting Ezra upon receiving the offer letter was exactly to get clarity on the situation. He advised to sign offer letter and subsequently pay registration fee. I trusted the representative of the college.All I can say is, make sure you get everything in writing with this college as they take no responsibility for what any of their employees or representatives might imply in order to sweeten a deal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the service and the campus is so inviting the colours in the foyer are LIFE.thanks Stacey for a wonderful intro to IIE Varsity College. They need to clone you.

My daughter has tried unsuccessfully to see the career guidance counsellor to assist with types of Jobs going forward as this is her last year of studying but nobody is available, whether by phone or trying to make an appointment by going to the admin office. This is very unprofessional! She is greeted with rudeness by admin staff. Not a great reflection of this institution.

Great institution. I'm still a student here and so far my experience has been great. Everything is done to best accommodate the student. Very supportive with every query that a student may come with. I believe Varsity College is the best

Please note this not an appraisal of VC Cape Towns systems, as they do not reply to emails or tickets. The way VC's admin is setup is poor, making it very hard to get ahold of them.However today I had a very pleasant experience with an assistant, Bridget. She managed the situation immediately in a calm and informative way. She is a fantastic representative of VC CT and deserves great appraisal.Thank you Bridget for your efforts and professionalism, you are greatly appreciated.

The most incompetent university ever. Completed my daughter registration after assessment had started. After requesting to cancel because it was pointless starting then, they still deducted money from my account
