Palala River Cottage
Far and totally excluded from the rest of the camps. No cleaning or service for your duration of your stay.Very close to the Palala river and under big trees.Tall people should be aware of the low entrances to the cottage and store room.Braai area is virtually on the banks of the river.Cottage is clean and tidy. If you leave the cottage close all windows and doors. Baboons and monkeys will steal your food.The gravel roads in Jembisa are not suitable for normal sedan vehicles. Some roads are only for 4x4.Enjoy a break at this place.

My absolute favourite place to relax without ever seeing another guest. If you appreciate the bush and privacy then it gets no better. It's like having your own private game reserve.

To all Jembisa staff, thank you for an amazing weekend. We loved the Palala River Cottage from the moment we walked in, the friendly welcome from the staff, the wine and welcome note. The River Cottage exceeded all our expectations. An awesome setup in a relaxed tranquil environment on the banks of the Palala River, with breath-taking views from the koppie behind the Cottage. Our self-drive to the Wetlands, was out of this world with all the blue wildebeest, giraffe, kudu and many, many more. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was comfy, clean with good utensils, crockery and cutlery.Marinette and staff are doing a very good job. The game drive with Emke was super and such fun! Will be back for sure! Thank you all.

Peaceful and serene. The cottage stands alone close to the river where the braai area is. Everything you need to relax. The self drive game drives are also great

Lovely owners, perfect setting and the beauty of nature is what makes this cottage so special. A weekend was just not enough and we will have to return to explore more of the lodge and surroundings
