We stayed in Die Stal chalet outside Bonnievale. There was a verandah which offered a stunning view of the Bree River.Everything needed was in the chalet and you could swim or fish in the river - or go in to explore Bonnievale.The owner messaged us with loadshedding times each day which was wonderful.Highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing break for a couple or a family of four.

Very Beautiful and Calm setup...Cosey cottage (Die Stal) and brilliant view from the deck or braai area watching over the Mighty Brederiver. There isn't a lot of children swimming and tubing in the river which makes it great for fishing.The more silence the better...The fishing is excellent if you know what ur doing...I managed to catch 11 fish over the weekend mostly Carp and Barbel,some decent sizes came out.There are an abundance of fish species in the river if you throw the right baits ...and show some patience u'll be surprised at what happens next.Im definitely heading back in the near future ...

Quiet lodge by river's edge on a working farm. Feels like you're in nature - sheep, cows, pigs & bats! Am already planning my next stay there.

Very nice place to be away from city. Didn't feel comfortable to swim in river though. But peaceful place to wake up to.

Lovely location. One has to wonder, though, how a party of 10 would fare with a kitchen the size of a shower cubicle, albeit very well equipped. The first bedroom is overcrowded with furniture and the only 'seating' in the lounge are 2 single beds. We carried 2 wire outdoor chairs in to comfortably get close to the fire. Otherwise a great stay with plenty of space for the dogs to play and walk. Located literally as close to the river as one can get. Sunday breakfast on the lawn in the winter sunshine - bliss! Summer must be fantastic for families. Will definitely recommend and be back.

Loved the cottage! It was on the river and had beautiful scenery. It’s relaxing and perfect to disconnect from a busy life. Only irritating we found was the owners dog often came around and never went
