Mavela Game Lodge

Mavela Game Lodge is absolutely amazing. Wonderful glamping experience, tastefully decorated tents. Wonderful home cooked meals - absolutely delicious, there is passion in the cooking. All staff should take a bow, they were so professional and very attentive to all guests. The tents were clean and spacious. Every guest is made to feel special. The game drives were fantastic - guide was very knowledgeable about the game reserve. The whole experience at Mavela Game Lodge is very memorable, and experience worth taking.

Everything was wonderful especially our game ranger but compared with other reserves the game sightings were infrequent

The staff at Mavela Game lodge are excellent with even the owner, Dan, assisting with meeting guest's requirements. The tented accommodation is modern and luxurious. The lodge has a relaxed friendly feel. The guides are great and the view from the lodge wonderful.

Outstanding service and attention to detail. Set in the rolling grasslands and acacia trees of Zululand. Expert guides guarantee interesting wildlife sightings. Really a splendid getaway if you want to spoil yourself or a loved one.

It is located inside the private game reserve Manyoni. The lodge itself is five stars resort. Very large accommodation.It is all inclusive with the open bars and safari drive. Would love to stay here for at least a few nights. Very big reserve and we saw a lot of animals. The view is priceless, waking up with Impalas and birds chirping.❤️

Very attentive staff and excellent cuisine. All in rate means open bar and may help yourself, if one so wishes.Game drives where first class. Pangolin rescue program a novelty.

Even though the experience of safari was the first time for us, we remain completely astonished when we came to Mavela Game Lodge. From the first moment we have been treated like special guests. Every request, including special needs for food, have been managed by the kitchen with extreme care and satisfaction. The staff of Mavela is amazing, every person uses to assist the guest in any kind, remind the guest the spirit of vacation and relax.We are Italians and we remain impressed about the food, every dish was a wonderful experience.We saw a lot of animals as lions, cheetah, etc. and we came back to the lodge from every game satisfied by seeing something interesting.The tends and the accommodation are comfortable and stylish and the toilet is confined with through walls, ensuring safety and privacy to the guest.Now we can easily say that we are in love with the safari, and definitely we would like to come back.

The accommodations were outstanding. The lodge was welcoming and ascetically charming with an adjoining pool. The open bar was convenient. The luxury tent was large, modern with many amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive. The dining was gourmet with outstanding service. The actual safari was the best part. It was conducted in a modified Land Cruiser. We got close to the animals and saw many animals. The guides were very knowledgeable and engaging going above and beyond what I expected in regards to explaining animal behavior, biology, the ecosystem and animal conservation. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience to stay at Mavela Lodge! The friendliest hosts... Chantelle & Sky! No request or wish were too much and was greeted by an immediate and positive response! Capable and friendly chef Rose. Calvin was our guide for 4 days and he proved himself as capable, responsible, careful, respectful to nature & guests and extremely patient as well! What else can be said? Excellent facilities combined with excellent food and personnel...THE BEST lodge I have had the opportunity to visit! Thank you very much to ALL of you, you felt like real close friends!
