Build it Oudtshoorn

No communication between the front desk workers and delivering staff. Phoned multiple times just to be put from one person on hold to another. Had to wait two full days for delivery. Really poor customer service.

After spending about R20k with Build-it Oudtshoorn during March 2023, I needed to return some curtain rod brackets, a few hours after purchasing them, as they didn't fit inside the pelmets. They insisted on subtracting a handling fee! This is despite the fact that the floor salesman assured me I could return them if they didn't fit AND there is no sign up anywhere to alert one of this return policy. When I queried this with them, they said it is a country-wide Build-It policy; which is refuted by how other Build-it branches (e.g. in Sedgefield, George etc) have treated me. Obviously, I now don't trust Build-it Oudtshoorn.

Friendly assistants, able to reply to queries. Good experienceUpdate 17/8: Thought as time goes by, there will be a lapse in service and friendly assistants will change to grumpy. However, still the best hardware in town. Assistants still very helpful, friendly and goes the extra mile to answer all my layman's questions.I specially want to mention Wessel who, the last time we visited the store, assist us with a smile, even when I changed my mind and went back to the first option of electric tool.Best place for a variety of Thjoko paints - thanks a million for that.
