Oppikaai Seafood Restaurant
On Sunday we decided to get out of the house and take a drive down to our local harbour and have lunch at Oppiekaai. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. We had the calamari tubes and tentacles as well as the snoek and chips. The servers were very pleasant. We had a relaxing time as the restaurant wasn't busy. The restaurant is not licensed, which was okay with us. The passionfruit and lemonade was refreshing.

This owner-run establishment is a true treasure, providing exceptional service and food that is second to none.One of the unique features of this restaurant is that patrons are welcome to bring their own alcohol without any corkage fee. The atmosphere captures the authentic West Coast vibe, making it the perfect place to go if you're looking for a local experience.I would like to note that their hours of operation vary, and sometimes they close earlier than usual. I recommend verifying their hours before visiting.I hope you have the opportunity to visit this establishment and experience their exceptional service and cuisine.

Having heard about this restaurant, while on holiday in Britannia Bay, we made it our mission to put all to the test.Weather being idyllic, the settingpeaceful with a view over the harbour, seagulls hovering around and boats moored and bobbing in the water.We were seated outside and attended to by Gerilda, dishing up great service. All 3 of us chose to order the hake and chips or salad.........this was a superb choice and it was a meal to remember and recommend.Oppikaai was a great find and really worth visiting

Oppikaai Seafood Restaurant
Unpretentious, hidden away by the fishery wharves, and very very good! I have eaten at several of the many seafood restaurants in this area, from Yzerfontein through Paternoster up to St Helena Bay, some with much bigger “names” than this one, and this was the best of the lot. Highly recommend the seafood platter. Oh, and really nice service too. Do yourself a favour and try it.

Service was ridiculously slow with no explanation until we complained after an hour. The owner did not even apologised and said ‘I forgot about your kids’. Mind you, we had 6 very loud and hungry kids, keeping themselves entertained with a ball as there is no kid activities at all.Only giving the 1 star because the food which arrived 1,5 hours later was actually tasty.

Local owner, local flavor and local produce. If you're looking for Proudly SA this is the place to be. Met the owner Charl, who was a great host and held an informative conversation about where the restaurant started and what his vision is. Great food, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing atmosphere and would definitely recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in St Helena Bay ❤️

Oppikaai Seafood Restaurant
Had an great experience at Oppikaai. The food is great and the portions are very filling, will definitely recommend the mussels and seafood basket. Service was a bit slow, but we were a table of 11, so that did not help. When we are back on the west coast, we will definitely stop by for another visit. Thank for the awesome seafood and super welcoming environment, Melody and staff well done.

Food was of the best quality we’ve had in a long time. Staff is amazing and very friendly. Cleanliness is at its best and we just loved it there. Definitely a must if you’re in St. Helena Bay ✨✨
