Panic buttons do not work in loadshedding. Staff is not nice. Food is bad. Staff make up rules as they please. Do not recommend.

Beautiful relaxing environment

Great staff

The staff are helpful and very friendly.

There are staff who really care about the well being off the pasients, but then there are staff who make the patients feel like naughty kids. The visiting times on the website differs from what is said by the nursing staff and when loved ones do come according to the times as on the clinics' website, they tend to not want to open the gate. The art and craft classes are restricted to an hour a day which helps pasients recreationally. This can really by made longer and maybe sessions on a Saturday and Sunday as well. There are also no other things left to keep busy with other than puzzles with a lot of pieces some old magazines and TV if it is not loadshedding. The food is wonderful and the kitchen staff really pull out all of the stops. You are also not allowed to go for a stroll outside the clinic gate. The clinic is neat and the cleaning personal do a great job. The beds and bedding are comfortable. There is no facilities to wash or dry your clothes say you come from far and do not have family members close by to assist you. I can maybe suggest that a specific flashlight (like a red light) can be used when checking on patients during the course of the night as the bright light can be annoying. A further suggestion might be for the nurses to go from room to room in order to check patients blood pressure. The sessions presented by Rani Prinsloo is also very informative and it would be wonderful if the sessions could by available on a Ted Talk or mp3 as well. For patients to reflect when leaving the clinic.

Wonderful place where mental health is really understood. You are cared for and given the necessary treatment in all essential ways. Very caring staff.
