Glencairn Tidal Pool
Dogs are not allowed in a Tidal Pool around Cape Town due to environmental reasons.The water was contaminated the day I went because a dog walker did not not remove their dog from the water and allowed it to throw up in the water.Dog walkers please follow the rules of the beaches and we are in need of law enforcement to enforce the rules.

Perfect pool for a family outing.Children are safe and in full view of their parents.Beautiful views. The one big thing that detracts from this venue is the total lack of basic amenities. Shame on council ...place is not cleaned periodically, and No ablution facilities. This would have been the perfect place otherwise !!!

Glencairn Tidal Pool
Amazing tidal pool, especially great for families. Our group has seniors and small children and the walk to the tidal pool worked okay for both. The tidal pool is sandy, which is nice, and makes it easy to wade in and out. You enter the tidal pool area by crossing train tracks, which seems a bit funny but it’s an easy walk and the train is very slow in that area, so you’ll always see it coming. You take the exit near the glencairn train station and park there!

A beautiful quiet little tidal pool next to the station. It's especially great for kids as the tidal pool is not deep. Great for lazing and soaking up the sun. Not for swimmers.

Great Spot on the False bay coast line close to Dixies restaurant. Plenty parking with a beautiful tidal pool. Gets a bit windy sometimes, so take the jacket with. Lots of little rock pools for the kids to explore.

Wonderful tidal pool, easy to reach from the nearby train station with many parking spots. Shallow water that gets only deeper at the very end, so possible to kids and non-swimmers to enjoy. Incredible views of the ocean and mountains.
