Baywater Village

Overall experience was ok.. Outdoor facilities 5 star but the actual stay at the resort is not for younger crowds unless you going to sleep all day long. They could do with porridge bowls and actually warn guests that it is an retirement village.... No noise warnings!!!

Lovely place I visit often with my family. Only thing hat disappointed us was the fact that the speed boat with the tube was not available to use and It was my husband's first time at the place and he wanted to experience that thrilling boat ride. The loadshedding is a pain too as baywaters water goes off when it's loadshedding. After some time the generator for the water does however switch on.

Lovely resort in a good location .The chalets are well appointed .The resort is on a beautiful lake but the chalets do not have a view .

Situated on the banks of Swartvlei Lake just outside Sedgefield in the heart of the rustic Garden Route of South Africa you will find Baywater Village with all its unspoilt surroundings and exciting facilities to do at the resort. Ideally Located really close to all the beautiful Wilderness beaches as well as the Sedgefield farmers Markets, the Knysna Heads or Lagoon. Plenty of the Garden Routes attractions, waterfalls, caves, hikes and adventures is within reasonable driving distance.There are numerous recreational activities and plenty water sports to entertain all the family young or old. A lovely large play ground featuring tennis courts, putt-putt course, a jungle gym and sand put, some soccer goals as well as a trampoline. They offer canoes or paddle boats as well as Boat ride cruises or skiing or tubing. Also sporting a games room equipped with playstations, Pool tables & a tennis table right next to a lovely swimming pool with loungers to tan on right next to their lovely restaurant and kiosk.The self-catering chalets are neat and spacious and have in-house cleaning lady during the week. They have everything you might need including a braai area with a lovely shady central garden to chill out in.The staff were all very helpful, especially the skipper Eubry, who assisted myself and my children so much in the water, also taking my girls for their first boat tubing experience. He is a real gem for the resort. Luckily we were only 3 people in a 6 sleeper chalet because although clean, it is very small, especially the bathrooms. There is no wifi except at the very basic restaurant. There is only a generator for water. The little shop is very poorly stocked. Being on the dam is the best part of Bayswater Village.On the bright side, the staff at the watersports are very pleasant.

People are exceptionally friendly.The lack of gas heaters, gas stoves (for a cup of coffee during load shedding), a variety of tv channels, and wi-fi is a bit of a downer for me.The bathroom in the bedroom is also a bit too small for me. Felt like it was squeezed in.

Beautiful and very Clean. Calm resort with fun activities to keep one busy or just relax. Beautiful surroundings with scenery and nature. Loved every moment being there

Wonderful place to take the family. Nice kids play area and fun activities for the adults. Overall it was a great experience.

We spent a mid week here, this place has a great view when driving in off the main room. Lots of great activities. Kid friendly. The staff was top notch. Asipe who tended to cleaning the house was friendly, professional and did a great job. The only reason for 4 stars on the rooms is there was no hairdryer for my wife to use which kinda feels standard at most places.

Housekeeping was amazing. We had Victoria servicing our unit. Always with a smile and a friendly chat. Reception was not that great but ok. Maintenance was also very prompt and friendly.
