The food was really good. They even stayed open late for us when we went out on a night tour and got back at 730pm. Really appreciate that since they closed at 7pm. The burger was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

We had a great time at Lower Sabie, couldn’t have imagined a better base to explore Kruger. We stayed in a safari tent and were surprised by the nicely made comfy double bed, the space, fridge and even airco! We spend four wonderful days enjoying the park and at the rest camp we enjoyed the beautiful pool and the restaurant with view on hippos and water buffaloes in the river below. The food at the restaurant was fine with plenty of choice and inexpensive.

I would highly advise against choosing this place. The rooms themselves are far from alright but work for a night to stay. The deal breaker is the air inside. It’s so moldy, you can hardly breathe.Even after changing the room, the second one was still as bad.Really unfortunate, since the location is excellent.Update:as if that wasn’t enough, there are molt spots all over the blanket. The towels smell so bad, after using them you will have to shower again. To make things complete, some animal marked its territory right on the porch, the smell of urine is very evident.Note: We booked two (three) separate apartments, these problems occurred in both cases

We booked a cabin months in advance. When we arrived at our room, there was a live rodent in the sink. We went back to reception and they said they would send someone to remove the rodent. We asked if we could stay in a campsite instead (we were traveling in a self-contained 4x4 with a pop up tent on top). They said the campsite was fully booked. They gave us a different cabin, but said all the cabins (huts) have rodents in them. We ended up sleeping in our pop up tent in the parking area by our newly assigned hut. Unless you are OK sleeping with rodents, don't book one of the cabin/huts here.

Very fine restaurant, with a fantastic view on the river ; the whole camp is nice but the gem of this very popular camp is undoubtedly MICHELLE, one of the ranger that made us live an unforgettable sunset drive. Sweet, funny, VERY competent and well organized ; she killed it and we were delighted. Look at the pictures !!!!!! And its just lions : on that night, we saw a lot more including elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, wild cats, rabbits, pelicans, and a bushbaby. THANK YOU MICHELLE

A good spot to take some off roads. Our morning walk was cancelled due to logical issues. Michelle managed to offer us a morning drive as we were awake. A very nice game. The bush braai has been organised for the forth of us. Instead of eating at our table we joined the staff around the fire to share the meal and discuss. An experience we won't forget. All the staff was so friendly. The only improvement point is the quality of the water of the swimming pool, but we were in low season.

Perfect location for self drives. A shame the petrol station was under refurbishment during our stay in June 2023. Personal braai with each room is a plus with provisions conveniently available in the shop. They clean up the grill too each day.

I did not stay here, just stopped to check out the shop. Ended up staying on the deck, enjoying the view and a drink. The place is beautiful and staff is friendly. Just don't go there to fill up petrol because the station has not been fixed yet.

One of my favorite camps at Kruger. I stayed both in a bungalow on the river which is stunning and also in the newly built tented camps which are more modern. I wish they were on the river.Always see such amazing game in this are

Beware of bats nesting in the bungalows thatched roofs. The stench is overwhelming. Our bungalow fridge has no shelves, also none in the door. Fridge right next to your bed. Very noisyCurrently there is no filling station at Lower Sabie. There is a Mugg and Bean for quick snacks and sit down restaurant. Sanparks shop is well stocked with necessities.Enough wildlife to see. Dams are full after heavy rains Apr 2023. Roads are well kept.
