Front desk reading room staff here are the definition of condescending

A great resource for genealogical research.Helpful staff are in attendance.

This was my first ever visit to the archives, I was super excited to go and do general research for a project. However, the head woman working at the counter in the back was extremely abrasive, I was completely shocked by the way she spoke with me. “service” was condescending to say the least, this makes me not want to come back which is a shame since these archives are for the public. Do better and learn to speak without being rude. Thank you

It's quite and the assistant is helpful and friendly

Behandeling deur twee dames by die navrae laat veel te wense oor. Die dames wat afskrifte maak en vorm vir betaling voltooi het, se diens egter vriendelik en baie goed. As dit nie vir laasgenoemde twee was nie, sou ek seker nog langer as die uur wat ek daar was, moes wag.
