Dr Marshinee Naidoo

Dr Naidoo isn't like the majority of the Psychiatrists out there supporting the pharmaceutical industry. (THANKS!)She hasn't put me on any medication other than cholesterol tablets, as she found my cholesterol level a bit alarming during my visit to Akeso Alberton post a recent severe motorcycle accident. All she suggested is that I consult with a psychologist/therapist to talk tings through, which worked, unlike the previous psychiatrist I had with my previous motorcycle accident that had me on medication to mentally subdue me and cost me 10 productive years of my life.

Dr. Naidoo gets scripts wrong, and then patients and pharmacies have to try all day to try and get hold of her, and even though we get told at 1pm that we can come and collect a script, it is not ready at 5pm, and she refuses to help with the script because she has other patients to see. She just wants to make money out of seeing additional patients but not rectify her mistakes she has made with previous patients, which is unacceptable. Sorting out the incorrect scripts of previous patients is equally as important as seeing new patients. Why does a psychiatrist not even know her medication in the first place? This is the most incompetent psychiatrist in the world. Avoid at all costs.

Dr Naidoo is gentle and caring. Mental health is not healed overnight. It's a long process of medication and therapy. Dr Naidoo is thorough and professional. One of the most open minded mental health practitioners in Gauteng. I highly recommend her if you want to approach your mental health journey with a combination of alternative treatments.
