Brandrivier

I can honestly say, that this was one of the best places we stayed at on our whole trip through the Cape. The hosts, Pieter & Erika, are very welcoming and willing to assist if you need anything. The tents are immaculately clean, and considering we were there in winter, very warm. Everything is very well thought out, from the gas geyser and gas heater, to the table with wheels, to move around as you need. The fact that everything runs on gas or solar, is a big plus. If you are looking for WiFi, you won't find it here, and that's part of the charm. There is a fairly decent cell signal though. I loved that we had the freedom to move around the whole farm, and walk as wanted to. Being flower season, there was a beautiful display of flowers sprouting out from the rocky terrain. The property has an added bonus of being close to Namaqua national park for the flower season, and Springbok, where you can easily get supplies. If you are looking for a place to really get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, out in nature and under a blanket of stars, this is it! Loved every minute of our stay and would make it an annual trip if I could!

Brandrivier Accommodation is really a gem in Namakwaland, near Springbok.They offer luxury self-catering tented accommodation. The units a well equipped and tastefully setup.The units are in the middle of the namakwa flower fields and you can walk all over to explore the fauna and flora up close. It is quite, isolated and safe. If you are lucky you might meet the owner.We hiked up the ridge and had lovely sundowners and the next morning we went up again to see the sunrise.We also booked dinner with them that was delivered on our doorstep. The dinner was delicious!We would strongly recommend spending a weekend break away at Brandrivier, and we will definitely like to go visit again!

We have stayed here for the second time early in September during the flower season. We stayed in Meerkat and our friend in Skilpad. What a wonderful place and surrounds. The ideal place to go out from on your day round trips. Also very clean, neat and well equipped. Thank you to our wonderful hosts Pieter and Erika. We will be back.

Loved it here. Beautiful permanent tented accommodation. The views from the deck are spectacular and the outside shower a bush must. The starry nights are amazing with literally not a single light to spoil the sky (except for the odd late night vehicle on the distant road.) Google maps pin location is now correct, saw review below advising of incorrect pin.

The tranquility one experience at this gem is a sure recharge for the soul.

So peaceful. The owners were friendly and nothing was too much. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. It is close enough to town if something is needed. Decent cellphone coverage if required. Will definitely go again.

Except for being blessed with perfect weather on location, this is an absolute tranquil environment with so much to see if you are prepared to look down and search for micro habitats own to the area. Super hosts and food for soul. Not living there anymore for 20+ plus years myself, Namaqualand is unique in what it offers with Brandrivier concentrating all the good elements in their space. See you soon again!!

This is not a review of the place, but just to let you know that the google maps location is wrong. It took us on a detour on a very bad dirt road. Then still not right. We had to find it manually ourselves. You know, like the old days...The place is really nice, by the way.

I can really recommend Brandrivier Accomodation for a stay over. I stayed for the weekend and then had to extend my stay for unforeseen reasons. The host was very friendly and accommodating. There was no Wifi but Cellphone reception was 100%. The unit is well rounded off with modern finishes, it reminded me of a 5 star lodge. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, it was a very memorable stay and will only stay there when I am in the area again. if you are in the area, you have to say here, thank me later ;)

We really enjoyed our stay at Brandrivier. Erika and Pieter really go above and beyond! The units are very well thought out and contain everything you could possibly need. The scenery is beautiful and it’s super peaceful. We will definitely be back!
