Camelot Spa at InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo

I'm a naturally shy man when it comes to pampering and the people here really helped with my anxiety of getting a massage from a spa. I am very thankful to everyone that made this a very comfortable experience.

Very professional staff with a huge range of treatments. I had a massage and a pedicure done by 2 different therapists and both were great. They asked enough questions to get me the treatment I wanted.Some reviews mentioned they felt a hard sell but I did not experience this. Some reviews mentioned waiting after the appointment time for the appointment to start and this is true I had to wait once but they were very apologetic and kept me informed. It is also supposed to be a relaxing spa experience so I enjoyed sitting on the lounger a little longer.Regarding the water, I saw around the corner they had water and even some melon. So if you aren’t offered I think it is because you can just take it yourself.The pedicure was done poolside but in a separate corner. I find the totally normal as often pedicures are done in the front of a “shop” only massages are done in separate rooms. It is still a nice intimate experience

Put aside an afternoon of me time. Onika got rid of tension knots in my neck and shoulders. First time i am comfortable and without pain in weeks.Well done to a professional team!I'll be back.UPDATE 12.10.2022I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure today. Iris was a star. This is one of the best spas in Johannesburg. The staff are professional, and everything is perfectly pristine. Attention to detail is prominent throughout the spa, and there is a steam room if you'd like to spend a little extra time there.

I felt so good that I am coming again for my Bday. Staff friendly, excellent service and nice chilled champagne as you enjoy swimming... SUPERB PROFESSIONAL MASSAGE to remove stress clots... Dr camelot.... See you soon fam

We had a good experience, so professional. It was our Anniversary , Albertina was very friendly and I truly enjoyed my session with Lebone such a nice lady and professional….. Ey all of them even the sweet lady at the reception. You guys are the best. We are coming back……. If only you can have parking

My last visit to this Spa when I was in transit with time to kill was an underwhelming massage. This visit made me decide to never return. I was kept waiting for 25 minutes. The salon seemed empty of clients and several ladies simply ignored me. I was not offered a glass of water or anything else. I simply decided to leave without the service. Perhaps this business does not need clients!!

Had an exceptionally awesome experience. Especially with my masseuse. She was professional and gave me useful information and advice about how to take care of my body. I'd definitely like to go back to her.

Not happy... not happy at all...The staff was warm and welcoming but the massage was terrible.She missed all the spots that were actually sore and i had to guide her in reaching the knots.Because it was my anniversary i ended up tipping them for a service i do not believe warrants a tip. And they pressurise you into tipping by adding the tip item on the bill.... not cool. Not cool at all.Rather spend your money at a Thai spa. Cheaper and definately more worth your while. Never again from me...

My full body massage was very nice . 3 stars. However when it came to my facial the therapist never shut up about how bad and neglected my neck was making me feel very uncomfortable. No scalp or foot massage was given while my mask was on instead she was in and out the room trying to sell me products. Worse experience ever. Definitely don't recommend.
