A Mountain View Country Estate

I needed to refund my stay after having booked for the weekend for my Mothers Birthday. Her dogs became ill and when I tried to refund the vouchers Jacques informed me that he would not refund me and good luck with my lawyers. Absolutely disgusting, unhelpful and terrible service. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I think he forgot what the word hospitality means.

Place smell like standing close for long time. Hot water is a problem. No road sign to get the turn off to the place.

No view, bathroom need to be renovated. Pipes visible. A curtain is used to have privacy while on toilet. Bedding is clean. Lots of potential. Beautiful furniture. Separate kitchens not part of room.

Excellent place we had the best host ever. Jacque was excellent from the booking process, offering directions and also advice on what to do and where to go around Parys. The place is tranquil and great to escape to from the city life. Snow White soft clean linen comfortable and very quiet. We shall return.

This is case study at Hotel School on the dangers of employing a manager reception with no idea about the hospitality industry. Shocking to say the least!! Rude, condecending and told me to f$%@ off on the phone when I asked for clearer directions. Suggest you get a sign for your geusts to find your hotel. A farm track in the dark is unusual. Jacque needs a lot of training. He is not acheiving any levels of hospitality.

Our stay was awesome. We were a family of 6 with a baby. We stayed for two nights. Jacques was a great host. A truly respectful, humble and bright person. He followed covid protocol properly. We were well-taken care of. The rooms were really clean. In general, everything felt cozy. The antique/vintage feel transported us into a different time. The atmosphere was tranquil. We had rooms with TV's which added a nice touch. The kitchen is separate and the dining room was made available for us to enjoy meals. We also did some fishing which is 700-800m away, advisable to drive there. It's like a private fishing spot. You will need to have good shoes as it is a little slopy. But once you're settled and find a nice flat-ish spot, the fishing is great. We caught 6 Fish. 5 Barbels and 1 Carp (approx3-4 kg). The braai area is also really nice, there's benches and chairs available. The lawns are great, my son had a blast playing on them.To conclude, the place is charming. You will enjoy the peace, the views and general quietness whether you go as a couple or a big family.

Basic accommodation with nice decor. The access road is quite rocky. It serves its purpose as overnight sleeping place. It is neat, clean and sanitized. There is TV, but no WiFi. The walls are not sound proof.
