Heron Square - Student Accommodation

My experience has been positive so far. Very ideal for young professionals and students.

This is worst place when it comes to deposit refunds. I would advise that you get lawyers on standby. They don’t answer emails or phone calls. I’ve been trying to get a deposit refund since December 2022. The amount is over R13000.

Heron square is such a lovely place to live in. The houses are beautiful and clean. We even have a cleaning service. Last year they even gave us a party to celebrate. This is my second year living here and I recommend this place.

I have been staying in a gorgeous house in Observatory with Heron Square for several months and it has been a truly remarkably spectacular experience. Everything with the house has been great, and have enabled me to meet the most amazing of people and have the most delightful of times in Cape Town :)

Highly recommend! An ideal place for a student or young professional. Safe, clean and secure. Staff are extremely helpful, responsive and professional. 10/10

- Cockroach infested- Rats in the walls and toilets- Sewerage problems (never fixed)- Terrible communication and etiquette skills (doesn't take responsibility, lies, unwilling to help)- Broken things never get fixed long term eg: toilets, walls, ceilings (all fixed short term and break again within the next month due to incompetent maintenance and management)- and much more...Some of the reviews below are from staff/family of the owner which throws off the over all star rating under their name please so do not be deceived. Understandably, student accommodation in general is known to be... not the best. But the amount of problems you will face here is disheartening.

I am currently staying at one of the Heron Square properties and its been such a good experience. The flat is well maintained and feels like home. It is a good environment for students and I highly recommend this accommodation, especially for those staying on their own for the first time. The Heron Square team is also very friendly and helpful.

Definitely highly recommend!! great accommodation for students and young professionals, it’s safe and secure with 24/7 security. Great and kind staff that assists you with any problems! and perfectly suited.

Heron Square is a great company with lots of houses they let you choose in which of them you wanna stay if they still have space. i used there houses for the third time. always welcoming even offered me a blanket when i arrived. drove me to the house, when i got sick i called them for advise. also the staff is really nice and always helping out. 5 stars !
