Cape Union Mart Canal Walk

After buying my new trail runners, I tried to wear them on a relatively easy hike during the weekend and return them within 3 days. They ended up being so uncomfortable and were really hurting my feet. At first I thought it was just the breaking-in period but I tried wearing them again and could barely walk in them. I decided to return it for either an exchange or refund that same day. I went to the Cape Union store inside Canal Walk on Tuesday (bought the shoes during the weekend) and I was utterly SHOCKED by how the manager treated me. I explained my case in detail and he just kept repeating that there is nothing he could do.He said that I just have to simply keep the shoes because it looked like I wore them before. I told him over and over that I did wore them once to test them but that is it. He refused to listen or advise and I felt really disrespected. After that, I went to another branch on the same day and I got my exchange for a different shoe in less than 10 minutes. Wow!

Professional store for outdoor activities, got my extra gear for GoPro here and the camping zone is amazing. They even got a drone area that you can try out.

Bradd is so awesome! He was helping a ton of customers at once, but still managed to check three different shoes for us, plus then call a nearby store to sort out a pair for me. Thanks Bradd!

Massive store with a great selection of outdoor clothing and equipment. It certainly is a one stop shop when it comes to outdoorsy things. It also really helps that there is an abundance of friendly and knowledgeable staff members that are ready to assist you should you require it.

Terrible service.There were about 8 staff members on the floor and NONE offered any assistance. About 6 were hanging around chatting at the door.When we did ask for help, the guy answered and couldn't get away fast enough.It was actually shocking.We proceeded to rather go to a different branch- Cavendish Square. It was slightly less shocking.Cape Union Mart- so disappointing.

Not very helpful when looking for a specific size in the shoe I wanted. I would rather go to the outside branch where we were assisted in a jiffy

This new Cape Union Mart store has a great layout and loads of interactive sections. The clothing, shoes and camping sections are well stocked and the staff are attentive and helpful. Really enjoy that the displays are well spaced and that the change rooms are quite spacious. Well worth a visit if you're a fan of Cape Union.
