La Mer at Illovo Beach

It was an excellent experience and me and my family will come back to this place during the next holiday. It was like from home to home. Nicely situated with a sea view from one's bedroom.

I have the opportunity to permanently reside in this amazing place.Secure, organized, serene, and convenient.The beach is to die for and my location to shopping and dining is unmatched.

We stayed in unit 37, a beautifully updated 3 bed/2 bath apartment. We loved the apartment! It was very spacious and fit our family of 5 perfectly. The kitchen was fully stocked. It had a washer (no dryer ->which was a bummer, but we were able to hang out clothes out to dry on the very large covered terrace). It even had a large BBQ outside that was available to use. Our host, Gabi, was easy to communicate with and checked in with us often to ensure every need was met.The community is very safe, with 24/7 guard at the gate and close security monitoring. The outdoor grounds are meticulously maintained and very clean. The pool is also very inviting and clean with a clubhouse and outdoor grills available.We will probably stay here again when we return to SA.

Absolutely stunning.Clean, well maintained gardens, continually cleaned beach, security on the beach and around property, safe, and apartment beautifully maintained with many conveniences. Close to Malls, good places to eat, Durban City is a short drive.

Apartment (unit 16) located right at the beachfront. The beach can be seen even when inside the rooms. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and each one has an aircon, plenty wardrobes and ensuite with bath tub and shower. Master bedroom also has a tv. The host was very kind and so was the housekeeper who came in every day of our stay. The private beach is access controlled and is at a walking distance. The pool accommodates both adults and kids (clearly and properly devided). There's also a braai area and benches by the pool

Good security. Quiet beach and the building is immaculate.
