J&J Chinese Take Away Sushi

Been going here for quiet a while now, ive really enjoyed every single time, there sushi may not be the same as a 5 star sushi restrictions but there sushi really is very well made, and they have a special if you buy any combo/platter you get another free and this is everyday , so if your looking for good and affordable sushi try this place and you wont regret it

I waited 40 minutes to receive my order, which wait wasn't even my main concern. Flies were buzzing all over the food prep counter. Yes, the sushi's cheap here but, if you care even a little about food hygiene, you should go elsewhere. The food tasted fine but there are too many red flags about this establishment to risk patronising it a second time.

I usually order from them via Mr D. I usually buy the Chinese lunch combo and find it adequate. The sushi good, usually has a bit too much rice. The reason I'm giving this review such a low score is because I went to the physical store recently and of course with covid things have changed however I didn't expect rudeness both from the owners and the staff.There was a small opening barely enough to even tell the waitress your order. She wasn't even polite enough to make eye contact and step up to the table that was in the doorway. There was no way to tell what the strange box was for. We are now on level 2 and I find it surprising that just because we have a pandemic, that a restaurant would lower their service so much.I had to shout across to the waitress who was at least ten metres away to take my order. I get panic attacks, and this whole experience caused me to have one.She didn't explain to me how the payment would work or have the courtesy to help me understand the covid way of ordering. The door being open to the street rather than using the safer for customers inside the centre is another concern.I placed my order after the owners had shouted at me to move while I was still trying to find out how payment and getting the order was supposed to work.Right now other well known restaurants are following all the covid-19 rules while keeping their service standards high with good service, social distancing and hygiene being kept up to standard. I felt unsafe standing at the one entrance and totally disregarded as a customer as there were no guidelines to how to order. After this experience I had a panic attack and I am also a special needs person.The service and rudeness by both the owners and waitress was so disappointing I would hesitate when deciding to go back or order from Mr D from them again.

I ordered the Sushi and pork spring rolls. The sushi was amazing. Absolutely loved it. The spring rolls were good just a bit oily.

Update: They have a buy one get one free sushi platter that is a must try. Also there is a deep fried option. Yes deep fried sushi. Not a fan myself but to s of people go crazy for it.The sweet n sour pork, chow mein and egg fu with rice. Best ever. Mouth is watering as Im typing this.I wouldnt recommed the spring rolls and prawn specials they have.Good portion size and affordable make up for that!!

The food is absolutely delicious but their ordering and payment system is terrible. The best tasting food but their space is wasted. Wish they had better decor and a more secure area. I worry about their safety and hygiene.

Do not waste your money at this place! If there was an option for no star I would choose it. This is the absolute worst Chinese food I have ever had. And I try different chinese food often. Sweet and sour pork was literally dough with no meat. It also had a terrible taste to it. I have absolutely no idea what they use as the grainy rasberry sugar water that is supposed to be the sweet and sour sauce ??! We ordered a large size combo meal. The Chop Suey was basically just vegetables. There is usually a good ratio between the two. Please expect a plate of HUGELY and I mean HUGELY cut vegetables with maybe a garnish of a few pieces of chicken. And I dont think I have ever seen cooked cucumber in Chop Suey?? Worst worst worst place ever. I feel robbed that I spent money on this place.

They have one of the tastier sushi here. Their portion is generous and many different varities. Good value for money and a good place to satisfy your sushi craving.

By far the freshest most well prepared meals - tasty and delicious - what a great experience well worth the wait

Never been to the physical store but have ordered from the restaurant quite a bit via MrDFood. The food is generally good; there has been a few occasions where the standard dropped a bit as the same dish was not as good. Sometimes the chicken and prawn is a bit chewy. The portions are a decent size and is good for sharing. The Indonesian noodles is a recommended dish on their menu. The sushi was okay.
