Lady Bee
Lady Bee has deemed it necessary to reduce the ingredients of its promotional dishes. This would be the equivalent of buying a loaf of bread that's on promotion, with a few slices removed from the bag. I discovered this on Saturday when I popped in for their R109/kg akhni special. Normal price is R169/kg. I ordered 2kg takeaway for my family and a staff member proceeded to dish into the polystyrene containers. On inspection I discovered that only a couple of pieces of lamb were dished. Management informed me that, since it was a promotion, the meat portions are rationed accordingly. By that logic, I pointed out, the Sunday promotion at R89/kg will contain no meat whatsoever. My questions were met with dazed, blank stares. Needles to say I left empty handed with little prospect of returning. I wonder why no other businesses have picked up on their genius model?

This restaurant does traditional and does it well. It's such a great pity that so many of the branches closed when the pandemic hit, but the recipe is still the same (though a bit more expensive) - good homemade food.Staff are friendly and there are working microwaves if you need to heat up your food.Bathrooms are clean and neat. It's a bit cramped and when it's full, you certainly feel a bit claustrophic, but overall, an uncomplicated traditional good time.

Such a little food. Can't even feed 2 people and paid over R200. The smallest Naan I have ever seen. Whole meal was a disappointment.

My first experience trying out Lady B in Kromboom road via Uber Eats. The food literally took an hour for 2 small salomies, 4 samoosas and 4 koeksisters. My husband enjoyed the lamb salomie but the beef vindaloo was not nice, though the beef was tender, it had a bitter, salty after taste infact no taste and not even a hint of vindaloo. Please work on the flavour, try using different spicesAlso added 4 x chicken samoosas (as the slip indicates)but received 4 x potatoes samoosas instead! Not sure if I will try the food again

Lady Bee used to be my goto place. The food was beyond exceptional. I loved the fact I could dish as little or as much and pay accordingly. Recently I visited the Lady Bee in Kromboom, twice. It was completely a disappointing experience in both occasions. The quality of the food was sub standard, it taste like home cook meal, the flavour was gone and thereby the appeal. Much much to my annoyance was the server insisting she will dish for me, again I could just stare at her with the utmost annoyance as there is a HUGE SIGN that states the blooming obvious that the customer dish. I asked a portion of bredie, she dished a bigger portion I wanted, despite my protest. Reason I wanted to dish (aside they are offering buffet style) is because i take tiny portions of a different dishes thus experiencing variety food instead of a single dish type. I asked for a small bit of tomato bredie as well. Ok that wasnt too bad portion after I berated her. Then I asked for lamb ahkni. Dear Lord, the server dished a lot of rice, by now I wanted to rip the bloody spoon and do it myself. I asked her to add meat, low and behold no meat just freakin bones, really? I never loved a brand that much and in two ticks turned out to be my utmost pet hate. I am disgusted by your service. I am appalled at your bloody price R183 for a small to medium plate food which was below par. Mind you, I will pay more if the quality and service justifies it but this was tge worst. Lady Bee, you are the weakest link, good bye!

Lady Bee Kromboom, The koeksisters are horrible sorry. Please either get someone else to make it or have it properly syriped. The texture was stiff and dry and the taste was horrible. I always come in there and quite frankly always disappointed in your koeksisters and its not the cheapest. Everything else I bought so far is amazing.

The food was okay. Your typical Malay cuisine, which is nice but a bit mediocre. The staff are not very welcoming, and it seemed as if it was an additional task for them to be friendly. The atmosphere is very cold and clinical, and the only reason we dined in was due to being on the road during iftaar time. But overall, it's not a nice feel, as a restaurant should be.Definitely not a place I'd frequent, and they are extremely overpriced.
