I was so afraid what to do with my pixie cut when I am in Cape Town for 3 months because I have searched for ages for a right hair dresser in cologne. A woman with also short hair at a casting recommend me The Fox & Vixen. Best tip ever. Love the cut and it is not easy to cut short hair so it still look feminine and the washing and neck massage feels like a spa day. Claudia is the best. Lovely relaxed personality and so talented. I will miss it when I am back home.

Alex is the best! He made sure I felt truly pampered. Walked out of the salon feeling like a 1960s celebrity.

What an extremely pleasant experience. Gina was very professional, but felt so comfortable, like visiting an old friend. Hair advice was great! Love my new cut!Would definitely recommend a visit here!

Everyone is friendly! And as a curly girl, I rarely trust anyone with my hair. But the ladies at The Fox & Vixen never dissapoint. Also, the post wash head massages are out of this world.

I came in for a half a head of highlights and low lights after another nice salon in Cape Town did absolutely nothing color wise to my hair, which they agreed was the case, showing me the back and how my roots and entire back of my head were both still black (even though I have a doctorate as I was an NYC attorney, which is a doctorate level education in the states and Canada, I color my own hair at this point, since we travel so much, but I cannot see the back of my head, so that is the only reason to go to a salon).Attached is a photo taken today (under a week after having it colored here), it’s like they did nothing as well. He did not want to put in lowlights, because he said it would just wash it out, I said that’s fine but please get rid of the black roots, especially in the back. I had to listen to other clients sitting nearby talking loudly for all to hear about how they visited their friend living in London and how expensive living in London is when we have a townhouse in Kensington (we only live in very part time, and half the cost of our tiny NYC walk up flat), obviously did not interject to correct him, so the whole experience was not necessarily pleasant, and at the end of it of course I was eager to leave, plus the salon was closed at that point - also was leaving Cape Town as we don’t live there. So I had paid for two salons in Cape Town who both did absolutely nothing in terms of coloring the black roots of my hair (I did not come in for any cut or trim, just for color). I guess at least if he had put in lowlights as requested, it would not be as blatantly obvious that my hair is black at the roots and blonde everywhere else - plus I hate it being monotone.I guess the only plus is the pricing in Cape Town is extremely low compared to Manhattan, or London even (London being much cheaper than New York), so at least I’m only out about US$170 for getting absolutely nothing done to my hair, but wasting my time. Also, it was a bit strange it is the first hair salon I’ve been to in the entire world - including Cape Town - that did not offer anything other than water and tea. He said I could order and pay for wine from next-door, but then it turned out they would not be able to actually serve me wine from next-door.Very nice staff, but of course when I’m going there to get my hair colored, I really only care about the end result.

Some very talented hair stylists for men and women. It's become our hair dresser of choice for my wife and myself. Found in a hip part of town theres several good coffee shops and restaurants too, when one of us has to wait for the other.
