The units has a wonderful view out over the mountains. It's well equipped with everything you need. With a friendly welcoming owner. Good value for money in the Swellendam area.

We had a terrific time at the Hoenderhok cottage. It's an unique little place, full of artistic charm and nicely put together as a rustic, home away from home." Landie is an excellent host and gave good tips on sightseeing spots

Had a lovely overnight stay in Die Hoenderhok. Views are beautiful. Kitchen is very well-equipped. Owner came to say hi which was nice.Only downsides were the flies - but that’s just part of staying on a farm - and the sink in the bathroom which had the tap so close to the sink you could hardly fit your hands under it.Could have done without the TV - why watch TV when you have these amazing views? - and WiFi would have been nice instead.We slept very peacefully - would definitely return.

Most delightful stay!! Friendly hosts. Die Plaashuisie is a wonderful, no frills, comfortable cottage. With everything you need and a small herd of cows with calves as companions it is the ideal place to rest & relax!!

Tranquility.... waking up to the sounds of mother nature ... staying in the a cottage with all the luxuries you need yet in a historical simplicity...privacy... just drinking it all in ... two nights was simply not long enough...my soul already yearns back...
