The Interior Design Institute - South Africa

I absolutely loved this course! It helped with learning the foundation of Interior Design and expanding my knowledge on how to work with clients as well as within the industry. Being a working individual, this course is very flexible in terms of completing each assignment in my own time without any time constraints. I am very pleased to say that the Support Team and my tutor, Evette Annandale, have been a great pleasure to work with. Communication and support are absolutely excellent. I am very grateful and thankful to have completed my diploma with this institution and recommend the Interior Design Institute without a doubt.

I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 children between the ages of 10, and my youngest is 3 years. I'm on a journey of self-discovery and came across the IDI page on the net. I wanted something flexible and affordable, and that's what I found at IDI.My background is in the tourism industry. I had no idea what I was getting myself into with the interior design course. It has been an amazing journey of stress and pleasure at the same time. All those tough assignments which I thought I'd never finish, all the research etc. When I look back, it was all worth it. I've learned so much, and the FB group really helped when you are struggling with something, you'll find someone posting on the other side of the world struggling with the same thing. My tutor Robert was also helpful throughout the course. I used the guidelines and feedback he gave me, and that also helped.Well done, IDI, for the amazing work you do. Keep it up!RegardsBongiwe

This course has been such an eye opener; I trust it will open doors for me that I could have never dreamed of.My tutor was so so lovely and helpful and was so knowledgeable and has empowered me with this knowledge, even in the small time we've interacted. And the student support was very prompt and helpful.I was so nervous to start because I have never had a positive experience when it comes to studies and school, and this course has given me a whole new perspective as to what I can achieve; it helped rekindle my love for learning.All in all, what a positive experience. Taking this course started out as an experiment for me, and it ended up being such a great idea.I had already dipped my toes in the industry waters, completing a few smaller projects and my own home renovation. I had some sense of how to tweak a space but no guidelines on how to be a professional in the industry. All I had was some ideas but no framework for executing them.The course grew my knowledge of interior design and helped to highlight some blind spots in my existing practice, and it gave me the appropriate skills and language to support my approach and ideas.It was so manageable to do this course while working. I worked part-time, and when projects got intense, I'd take a break from the course, picking up where I left off as soon as work quietened down. It took me less than 12 months to complete it.I now look forward to polishing my skills with the advanced modules and getting more experience in the field.

I am a recent Graduate!!!I don't regret ever enrolling for this course. For me IID's flexible timetable was the most valuable part of the program! It allowed me to take advantage of my free time off my formal work schedule to pursue my passion! The practical learning was the cherry on top of everything as it helped me to apply every single aspect of the curriculum to enhance my learning process and better my understanding.Since I was young, friends and family have been seeking my decorating advice and I would willingly do it with ease randomly. So this learning program introduced me to the golden rules of design which developed and qualified my skill! Indeed for me ''my passion has finally met my profession and am truly fulfilled.I would recommend anyone who is passionate about interior design to enroll so as to boost your skill and employability!"

My experience with the Interior Design Institute has been phenomenal!I naturally had a passion for beautiful spaces and decided to take up the diploma course to expand my knowledge, and wow! I did not realise just how much there is to Interior Design. I have learnt that a lot goes into creating functional and tasteful spaces!The course material is written in a conversational and easy-to-follow language, and I truly enjoyed the assignments at the end of each module as it allows you to really practically apply the concepts that you have learnt.You get allocated a tutor who provides guidance and constructive feedback for each assignment. The tutor is always available to answer any questions that you may have and further explain certain concepts.It was truly a pleasure learning with the Interior Design Institute, and I will be applying the concepts as I set up my own design studio!

Should I or shouldn't I? What if the modules are too hard? What if I can't see this through?These are the thoughts going through my head a year ago as I pushed the button to commit to undertaking an Interior Design Diploma from The Interior Design Institute.After a lot of hard work and time spent, a year down the line, but lots of enjoyment too, I have Graduated! I am so proud of myself for achieving this goal that I set myself. The journey has been amazing, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering a diploma in interior design. The support received from my tutor, the Institute, and the Facebook community has been wonderful.So if you are hesitating due to self-doubt, don't - just go for it, push that button and enter into the world of design!

Studying through IDI has been an experience like no other. It has been an amazing experience every step of the way. The content of this course is not only informative but practical. It has provided me with so much information and confidence to pursue a career in Interior Design. My tutor was so supportive throughout the course, which encouraged me to continue. This course was absolutely amazing! I've learned more than I thought I would. I had some basic knowledge and thought I was okay, but this course was an absolute eye-opener. I've increased my knowledge and realized what I love doing and what I don't like as much. This made it much easier to decide on a career path going forward. Just as I thought, YES, I'm almost there, then came the advanced modules, and I couldn't resist! Doing the advanced modules opens up a whole new world of knowledge as you either sharpen up your skills or learn new ones.Doing this course was the best decision I could make!

Hi, my name is Danté Lombard, and I’m a proud graduate of The Interior design institute.To be honest, Interior design has always been one of my biggest dreams, but I was totally lost after I finished school with all my friends leaving for college and paying a lot of money to do so.
