CONCREATIVE TILES
My experience with Concreative Concrete and specifically the owner Wybrand Esterhuizen has been all but pleasant. After paying my 80% deposit on the 27th of Feb I only received my Dining Room table on the 22nd of May.I immediately informed Wybrand that the workmanship was sub-standard and that the table does not look like the picture at all.The table had white, black & brown stains, chip marks on all the sides as well as a big water stain on the top.Eventually the table was collected on the 18th of June and I have been waiting for my refund ever since.Wybrand agreed to refund me, but now he is simply not answering the phone when I call and ignoring all communication from both myself and my husband. My attorney will be in contact with him. So needless to say I’m very disappointed

Absolutely the worst service ever! If I did not follow up, sent e-mails or phone around...no one would have even known about my order or even have given feedback.Do not expect to receive your order within 21 days (as promised), 21 weeks or even 21 months.Apparently my 3 square meter order of tiles was too small for them to manufacture within 5 weeks. Luckily got a full refund. Will never use Concreative again. Will be surprised if they survive Covid or even another year.

I usually don't write bad reviews, I normally just give a bad rating if I had a bad experience and that's it... But I feel like this needs to be said:We saw the products offered by Concreative Tiles, and were quite impressed by their range and designs, we considered to use their tiles for an upcoming renovation project. We ignored all their negative reviews on both Google and Facebook and placed the order and paid in full.We did not receive any form of confirmation that they received our order, we had to follow up, after a few days just to confirm whether or not they were aware of it. We also inquired regarding the lead time of the order so we could arrange with the contractor for installation. They informed us all is well and it takes 21 days from the date of payment. We arranged with the contractor and he acknowledged that he will only require the tiles in 5 weeks' time.21 days came and passed, we followed up regarding the delivery date, and were informed that it was 21 working days, and not 21 calendar days...Now, anyone in the construction industry will tell you, that if you work with calendar days you work with products of 7, and if it's working days, you work with products of 5 to give lead times.Anyway we accepted their argument even though they said 21 days, and not working days, and we still had time until the contractor required the tiles.21 working days came and passed, we followed up regarding the delivery date, and were informed the tiles were not ready yet...Another week passed, now a week late, we followed up on the Monday, and the tiles were still not ready, but promised to give it to us that Friday. That Friday came and we did not receive the tiles... In fact the tiles were not made yet!?!? The contractor was now on site, and needed the tiles. They explained that they were extremely busy and our order was simply too small (3m²) and was being pushed to the back to make way for the larger orders. (thanks, I feel like a valued customer)Concreative Tiles promised us that the tiles will be made over that weekend, (working on weekends? So now all of a sudden it's calendar days?) and we will have it by that coming Monday.Monday came and the tiles were not ready... They managed to produce 1m² of the 3m² required. They said they can deliver the other 2m² on the coming Thursday... 2 days after the contractor had to finish on site.We therefore had no choice but to cancel the order and source readily available tiles somewhere else. The best service we received from Concreative Tiles were when they paid our refund.

This guy is a fraud. I should’ve read the reviews before ordering and paying in full. I paid for my order October 2022. It’s now April 2023 and the owner, Wybrand Esterhuizen is ignoring all my calls, emails etc. He responded to me once on FB, promising that he’ll get back to me but this was months ago.

CONCREATIVE CONCRETE FURNITUREDO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM CONCREATIVE FURNITUREWe were victims (and it seems we are not alone) of this company’s owner / manager, Wybrand Esterhuizen’s total lack of business savvy and complete arrogance which makes him the last person you ever want to do business with.Yes, the furniture as seen on their web site and many adverts posted on all sorts of media, are indeed beautiful customisable bespoke art pieces BUT your trouble starts the moment you get in contact with this charlatan via email, WhatsApp or telephone. He will promise you the heaven and earth but he does not plan to honour his part of the contract and he thinks he is untouchable. He seems to not know about the Consumers Protect Act or does not give a flying fish about it.We ordered our new TV unit, coffee table and side table from him (R27,200), received the written quotation fairly quickly, was obligated to pay 80% deposit (which in itself seems absolutely ridiculous for a successful business) but complied immediately (R21,760). Our side of the contract honoured, we were told that delivery will be in 4 to 6 weeks (quite fair for hand made furniture). FOURTEEN (14) weeks later and frustratingly numerous episodes of one way or failed communication with old Wybrand, we took delivery of damaged furniture which I cannot return or have fixed because we will never have anything to do with Concreative Concrete Furniture again. He does not answer his phone! He does not reply to emails! He does not respond to WhatsApp massages! He never communicates anything from his side (leaves you in the dark). When you do trick him (he’s not as clever as he thinks) into having to do or say something, he ends up doing nothing and lying through his teeth - new promises he never intends to keep.Only when we got the poor unfortunate people who work at his Johannesburg office to try and get through to him he sent the furniture only to be kept at the courier company’s storage because he had not yet paid them for the delivery. We offered to pay for it ourselves despite it having been included in the original quotation, to which the couriers agreed after some negotiation. Then it was revealed that only the wooden bases of the units were in fact with them and that the concrete tops still had to be collected from old Wybrand. This ended up costing an additional R8,019 but at least my family room is now populated with something. The whole episode wiped all enthusiasm about our bespoke furniture away and we now look at it with disgust. Disgust for ever crossing paths with Wybrand and his unacceptable business practice. So, please fellow consumers, there are too many custom furniture design and manufacturing businesses going through rough times during the Covid pandemic, to even consider this guy. Save yourself great heartache by using any other company.
