A24/7 Electrician

I had the misfortune of being a customer of these people and would strongly advise anyone who has a problem with their plumbing or electrical appliances to find someone else.A power surge cause my geyser thermostat to burn out. The unit was new, having been replaced only two months previously.. The R 250.00 call out fee was reasonable, but I was then taken to the cleaners in a big way with their repair cost. They insisted the thermostat could not be replaced without simultaneously replacing the element. The element had also been replaced 2 months previously. They quote me R 3,588.00 to do the job and not knowing any better I agreed but pointed out it was Friday afternoon the payment transfer would only go through on the Monday morning. We agreed and they did the job. It took just under an hour. I subsequently discovered that the parts i.e. the thermostat and the element could be bought at the local hardware shop for under R 500.00 which means I was charged labour at the rate of R 3,000.00 per hour over and above their call out fee. I had agreed to their dishonest quote and was therefore obliged to pay it, but it didn't end there. On the Saturday afternoon while entertaining friends for lunch, I get a call from someone at 24/7 Plumbing and Electrical demanding immediate payment, which had been agreed would be paid by Monday. When I pointed that out I was threatened that unless I provided a proof of payment within an hour they would send one of their collectors to my home to collect cash. I'm not going to go into detail on how that was handled but suffice is to say that my experience with these people is not one I would recommend to anyone. I would be inclined to steer well clear.

Do not use this company. They charged me R2.8k to fix" our problem by replacing our earth leakage. Not only did this not fix the issue but our usual electrician (who couldn't make it that day) told us they didn't replace the earth leakage at all. They also wrote "lightning strike" on our invoice and told us we should claim it from insurance even though there had not been any lightning during the previous 24 hours. This is fraudulent behaviour."

I do not recommend the electrician, MJ Viljoen, at all, he charged me first for R500 for inspection for issuing COC then send me this quote:Supply fit and wire 2 x 4x4 plugs R980Supply fit and wire 1 lever lights switch R285Supply fit and wire 2 lever lights switch R300Issue coc R250Total R1 815The prices are unreasonable and not trustworthy. Absolute scam! Do not use them.

If you want to get ripped off in a time of need, then this is the place to call.

DO NOT USE, DO NOT CALL,I used A24 /7 Electrical and Plumbing recently..not only is their behavior unprofessional they will over charge you. in total I parted with R3000 for a job that took 45 minuets to do. Two days later I had a leakage in my geyser and asked them to come in a have a look since they were the last people to work on it just two days prior, however they insisted on charging a call out fee again, and when I disputed it they said they would call me back..... which they never did. their work is also reckless and very untidy and they leave a mess wherever they work.Do Not USE

Poor workmanship, left pipes leaking and did not clean up after themselves. I had to pick up little plastic bags all over my garden and sweep up plaster and bricks where they drilled.
