Scenery Bed and Breakfast

1) Terrible admin.the guy who checked us in couldn’t speak English which made check in difficult to confirm. There was also no lock on the manual gate to keep vehicles safe throughout the night. I had a trailer that needed safe keeping and was stressing that it may be gone the next day.2) There was no running water. Nothing out the tap. After a physical day of work a shower was needed but did not happen.3) Plug points weren’t working - couldn’t turn on the A/C or fan, so I got chowed by mosquitos.4) Because of the plugs were not working I couldn’t charge my phone which was much needed for work the following day. I had to go to a garage to charge it the following morning - not convenient.5) Expensive - R1000 per night. That’s over priced for what you should be getting.6) The walls are also thin - I could hear the Guest next door to me on the toilet at 4 in the morning. It was not pleasant to say the least.

Never have I even been so dissatisfied. I reserved a room with the BnB and a lady said she would call me the next day to make sure I was still coming. To my surprise the BnB calls me and tells me my room has now been taken because the place deals with first come first serve" policy and I'm like but I reserved the day before! With you on the phone! She says well other people have paid so therefore your room is taken find another place! I am miles away from home travelling alone as a woman in South Africa! They tell me hours before the day ends that I must go fish for another place! No concideration taken! I'm will never for get this because I'm genuinely hurt but this manner of service!"

Front desk needs a customer welcoming receptionist and with telephone skills then things can prove security guard was very good and helpful too

The overnight wasn't bad, but few pointers, receptionist friendly but not fluent in English which makes it difficult to make a booking. Linen clean but the building need some serious attention as it's mouldy especially in the cupboards. Gym area also very mouldy and feels unclean.

Worse experience ever i will never return again. We arrived there was no management just the security assisting us. We arrived to our room the bed was full of hair and ants! They then moved us to a 2nd room which had the same problem. Eventually they moved us to the 3rd room with a clean ish bed but next door from our room people were partying until the am there were like 20 people in 1 room during covid time all drunk and loud and not once did the security complain or be consider my husband who had to drive us back to Durban at 4 in the morning and we never slept. This was after I explained to security that we drove from east london and my husband was very tired to drive back to durabn all we needed was a comfortable place to stay and it was the most uncomfortable never again! I'm disappointed and disgusted. I have found better service at b&b thats worth R300.

The place is extremely beautiful, the staff was nice, pity there is no safety. Considering that they are at the end, just on the community walk through, their security should be tight, yet their main gate was always open, even at night. I'll only use that place if I don't get another. I'm too cautious about safety
