Incredibly beautiful nature with Hangklip and the mountain majestic. This could be a truly spectacular experience but the picnic site is littered with bottles and plastic bags and the hiking trail hut in a sad state of disrepair. Still worth a trip as the views never fail to amaze.

A most pleasant surprise - absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. A difficult drive to get up to the picnic spot, and the directions are few and far between, but it is totally worth a visit!

The forest reserve is a very underrated place in town! It’s great for getting the dogs energy out and exploring!The pathways are marked fairly well and they are somewhat clean of trash. We usually just pick up any papers we might find when walking the dogs. I would definitely recommend exploring the mountain side a little while in town, or if you live here, abuse the facility a little because it’s always quiet!Just park at the gate and take walk! :)

My favorite place to be. The trails r always an adventure. N the views I can't ever forget. The staff at the gate, can get a little confusing for and there are no signs showing the entrance fees, you just have to believe what they say. N the almost never have change. Their forest offices r not the best actually delapidated.. So nower to get the information you need, renovations need to be done.

A great place to be if you want a quiet place and cool atmosphere. There are camping area and also braai facilities. It's also advisable to visit the place using an SUV because you'll literally be climbing up the mountain and also to avoid rocks as it's a gravel road.

Incredibly unhelpful person at the gate and no facilities. Nice views but we didn't think they were as amazing as other reviews claimed. There is NO signage. Not recommended.

This is truely an amazing place to see, but there is absolutely no information given by the person at the gate. You drive for what seems like forever and then from there you can walk up to a dilapidated building that was once a backpackers stop over but has since just been left, abandoned.
