Had a very similar experience to Jason Moller below. Only received outstanding money owed by Automax more than 1 year later after numerous requests, and having had to go to the Ombudsman.

We have only received excellent service from the entire team. Huge thanks to Adri for always trying to assist with whatever problems we might have. We have started sending our company vehicles to them to do services as well as other repairs. I call, we send the vehicle over, they check the problem, they let me know what is wrong and give me estimates of repair costs. I am very satisfied with the service I am getting from them thus far.

Automax have looked after my BMW X5, and my 30 year old Merc, plus company bakkies for several years now. The whole team is outstanding, honest and capable. Tonight, is Friday, my X5 seemed sluggish but was going OK. They could have said come back Monday. But no, they stayed late, diagnosed the fault and fixed it. My thanks to Frank and Gerald. Richard

I own an Audi A3. I had a quote to repair the car from another mechanic for x-amount. Gerhard then says he will be able to do it for under R10 000. So they put the car on the diagnostics machine and stripped it, run a bill up to R2700. I get a call from Frank telling me that they have to take the whole gearbox out to find the problem, that would take my bill over R8000. R8000 and we wouldnt have started to fix it. I tell them to just bring the car to me, as they collected it because the car cant drive. Then I get an email that states: Attached is the invoice for the work that was carried out on the Audi. Please send pop if paying by eft.Our trailor is unfortunately out of order

Ruined Christmas - I own a Renault Scenic 7 seater, which was taken to Automax on 11 November 2016. I was told a new alternator needs to be ordered from overseas, but I would have the car back after 21 days. I accepted and planned my holidays around it. When I called to collect the car yesterday I was told the alternator has not yet arrived. This morning I receive an email saying they have no idea when it will arrive. I have a paid planned holiday road trip to Knysna from tomorrow with no vehicle. This is terrible service and massive consequences for me and my family. I will never recommend anyone to use them, ever!**************************UPDATE - I finally received my vehicle. It was explained to me that there was a mishap wit the parts that needed to be ordered from France. Then they found a problem with my ECU and they also had to do some re-wiring. I am just happy this ordeal is over. Thank you Gerhard for taking charge and making this happen.

Good work on my car previously but couldnt even get a booking this time around because the reception side is so broken. Could only call in at 9 even though they open at 8, spent till 10am trying to get through but the line always got cut. My calls with every other company worked just fine.

Had a great experience with Frank\Gerard and team!Had a electrical problem on my Golf 6 for months, took it to the dealership (they had it 2 days) and they gave me abit of a run around as to what it could be and what it would cost. (Golf is out of warranty)Luckily I followed my gut and chose to get a second opinion - AutoMax - glad I did...Automax had the car for a day, detected and fixed the issue same day!Thanks guys, really appreciate the level of service on the phone and face-face!

The gentleman, who attended to my enquiry was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions and the best thing is that they fixed the problem. Going forward I'll be servicing my car there and the nice thing is that they're closer to my home.

Automax possibly stands for Automation of Maximum frustration, the owner of the company reversed my vehicle into a structure. I've since returned the vehicle to the dealership thank God they were understanding. Wouldn't recommend Automax Belhar."
