Slow service. Ended up leaving after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take our order. Everyone else’s food and coffees looked good though. I’m sure we where a 1 off because the place was busy. But nevertheless, only 2 stars from us

Fantastic breakfast spot especially when on a breakfast run with a group. Been a couple times and enjoyed each time immensely. Great vibe in a cozy atmosphere with well maintained gardens and large outside seating area with a jungle gym for the kids. Friendly staff making it that much more welcoming. I love the generously sized cappuccinos which are delicious…My favorite breakfast is the Croque Madame … farm bread with Dijon mustard, ham and a really good béchamel sauce and a soft egg (or to your liking)Absolutely delectable every time …Only mark down is service usually does take time especially when you are looking for another coffee or need any condiments… but that is it.Also great deli and their home cooked meals for the freezer are not only really good but feel like home cooking. Beautiful gifts and fantastic bakery.

Initially, service was slow but that's understandable cause it was mid morning on a Sunday and very busy. The poor waiters were speed walking up and down. There were no open tables outside. It took longer than expected to get menus so we grabbed menus from another open table. Once we ordered - ordered drinks and food at the same time - the food arrived quickly, even before the drinks. I had the breakfast bun, which was a little dry but still nice as I don't mind dry - what can one expect from a croissant with bacon and scrambled eggs without sauce. My husband really enjoyed the croque madame. His coffee was good. I had the decaf coffee milkshake, which was possibly the best I've ever had.

I had a latte & a egg, bacon & cheese croissant, it was delicious! This place has a nice variety of things, highly recommend coming to eat & drink here!

Driving through, we only had coffee. Service was very good, foodstuffs seem fairly pricey, but look really nice. Missed the bread we used to buy here.

This a definitely a place we will visit again, the food was tasty and the scones are to die for. So glad we found this little place . Will recommend to everyone

It's been around forever and had a big upgrade a few years back. Farm style shop and a superb little restaurant. Kid friendly with a great play area and large lawn to run around on. Also dog friendly with welcoming water bowls present. Don't pass without paying a visit.

Very nice spot for breakfast, we enjoy coming here. Big space for kids to play, play area, sand pit. The Deli has lots of selections of breads, cakes, tarts and great home made pies. It’s dog friendly only down side is the noise of cars zooming past and revving vehicles at the traffic light so not quiet and tranquil at all if you sitting outside. In side is best for a more deli feel. Also a cyclist friendly spot for bikes. I don’t recommend the breakfast wraps - the rockets overwhelm the flavor too many in the wrap.

Nice little coffee shop, bakery and restaurant. Have been here twice and bootlegger coffee is always reliable and so are most of the baked goods here. Just that the chicken pie last time wasn't suiting my palate but then others may differ. If you are travelling in and out of west coast R27 road, I recommend this joint as a convenient pitstop as there is also a fuel station just opposite to the restaurant.

Great breakfast venue. Our host in Melkbosstrand recommended it and it didn’t disappoint. It has a farm like look outside and part passtal (farm stall) feel as you walk in with goodies for sale. Good menu choices with well presented tasty food and good service. Our host loves tea. We loved the teapot!. They serve and sell Bootleggers coffee.
