We adore Clarens, and try and visit once a year. Every time we stay at another stunning accommodation, and Cloud Shadow did not disappoint. The view alone is worth every penny!It's a bit of a walk to town, and definitely the furthest we've stayed from the square, which is sad as we like to walk everywhere when we stay in Clarens, but this is not something they can change, so not on them :) just something that's worth noting.House is well equipped, host is very nice and accommodating, and even with level 4 loadshedding happening we did not even notice it.

Upside : Nice views from the cottage. Well.maintained cottage..closer to the main street of clarens. Good for a family of 4.However the cleaning lady doesnt visit to take off the rubbish, and as a new person in the locality one doesnt know what to do with rubbish as there are no disposal bins outside..basic things like sugar, salt and pepper should have had been in the cottage..found wanting...the toilets has a very fishy smell...Constructive criticism, continuos improvement is a way forward.
