Arguably one of the best paragliding tuition schools in the world, headed up by a true legend of the sport. Highly recommended for both their local South African training courses and related services, and their international guided gliding tours. This is my direct personal experience, having learned this beautiful sport at their hands as well as been a participant in one of their epic European gliding tours.

I’ve known Pete and Sue from Walland Air for as long as I have been flying. Just about 4 years now.(2023). Although they were not my course instructors, they are always willing and able to offer advice (or caution) on the hill. They have a passion for flying and a passion for those who enjoy flying with them. . Lovely people with a fantastic work ethic. Will recommend them anytime, either for training or for a tandem flight.

Paragliding in Wilderness - Best experience ever with Wallend-Air. What a warm, fun, welcoming team. Pete offers tandem paragliding and if you get hooked they have a school and you can go on tour to Wilderness which is epic! Awesome shop in Cape Town too if you want gear or want something repaired.
