Overall a fun vibe but management and upkeep may have taken a backseat here.Very much a family friendly getaway rather than couples weekend.Great restaurant, lunch and dinner was delicious. Cute, small beach area and generous cocktail hour 4-6. Amazing location with breathtaking views and the staff are all very friendly.The Birdie Airstream is in a the best location closer to the bar with hammock chairs and a view of the dam. Also with it's own parking spot. It's a very small caravan though and your neighbors are super nearby. All the caravans are very close to each other so don't expect much privacy. Periodic leaf blowers and wheat-eaters also threaten to kill the holiday spirit (within a one night stay).The caravan felt stuffy and dusty and our sink was full of gnats. It felt like the sheets are changed and the floor is swept but it hasn't seen a deep clean for a while.The wallpaper is coming off the walls and you can't keep the windows open. We had super cute hammocks that unfortunately also felt like they haven't been properly washed and bleached for a while.When walking up the hill past the back of the other caravans on your way to the hiking trial, it's basically a dump of rubbish and building materials which is quite jarring against the incredible views from there.At this stage the balance between trailer park and luxury is blurred but give them the benefit of the doubt due to the post-covid Era.

Beautiful setting with excellent amenities.great food and atmosphere

Access road was in a bad state due to the recent heavy rains. Made booking for table for 8 but we were mistaken for another group so table was not ready. Did not view the interior of the accommodation but the whole venue is located in a fire prone area surrounded by dense vegetation. Some attention is needed to safe-guard buildings and visitors. Food was average.

Caravans are quaint and well located, but quite close together. The restaurant sadly has the atmosphere of a takealot warehouse, but the food was good.

Favorite Holiday Spot in all of Cape Town. Top Class rooms and facility. Highly efficient, friendly and accommodating staff. Spectacular views. Would give it 50 Stars if I could.

I had a wonderful time. A really beautiful location, peaceful and lots to do. The draw card are the boutique trailer rooms. I thought these were lovely, but in need of some minor TLC. Some of the finishes are looking a little drab and need attention - paint is chipped, plastic flowers fraying etc. However, still a good experience, but for the pricing, expectations are high.Service was generally good - I was assisted quickly and kindly at reception. However, the first night dinner service was slow and lack lustre and some menu items were not available. The lack of availability was only communicated after ordering and well into the long wait for our meal. The second night was much better and the breakfast service was good.I think there is room to make certain experiences all inclusive". For example

loved the beach, pity about the extra loud music, would have been nice to enjoy the lovely nature and orchards all around. super friendly and helpful staff. pricey meals and drinks, but served with a huge smile.

A dinner evening, didn't stay over. Wendy at the restaurant was amazing - fitting us in on a busy night. We'll definitely be back thanks to Wendy.

We had our wedding there on the 12Feb 2022. All the guests was impressed with all the staff and quirky accommodation. Food was excellent. Atmosphere fantastic. Wish I can do that every weekend.
