METRO SOUTH EDUCATION DISTRICT

On the day of my visit to this Education District Office I reported to the Director's PA. She quickly ascertained where I needed to be and telephonically called that Department to say that their guest has arrived and would they kindly meet me in her office.I appreciated the effort she made to speedily get me to my destination. In the Specialised Educational Services section I was greeted with more friendly faces who heartily welcomed me. Big was my surprise when I was offered a cup of Coffee before my meeting started. The meeting it self was a pleasurable one.Dealing with a Multifunctional Team that is both knowledgeable and excited about their work is always a pleasure. Every member of staff contributed or engaged otherwise with the topic we discussed. I left with a feeling that this team works hard amidst the myriad of challenges that test their resolve on a daily basis.Although the area that this District serves is more than 70% made up of sub-economic areas the staff spoke about their schools and learners with an unprecedented passion. My sense was that the toughest areas attracts the most capacitated and resourceful personnel.If I had to nit-pick I could complain about the parking area for visitors, which is mainly on grass. But my overall experience of this District is such a positive one that prevents me from dwelling on the negatives.

The people at the office are genuinely helpful. If you want to have your stuff sorted, it is probably best to go there in person. The calling might not be the best, and also as a result of poor IT systems the office staff take the brunt of the aggression when it's not really their fault.I came to register to rewrite my Matric Math papers - 3rd time I came because previous times the registration papers weren't delivered yet - and I was asked by about 5 different people if I needed any help. As I was leaving, a kind lady asked me if I knew about my Maths resources, and assured me that if I ever needed any help, I could always come and speak with a Maths advisor. Kudos to these people! Thank you.

They don’t pick up their phone. Horrible reception!

i contact u people today n told my situation but there was no effort from your part to resolve this issue at all . the school persaverence i applied to for my child told me there was place at the school my son for grade 1. that was too days before the school closed in december, but i couldnt afford to travel to belhar to becuase i didnt have money to go .. i waited uncle i can afford the travelling fair to get the documents the school asked for but know they dont want to help at all...

I have been calling this office for weeks now!!! emailed but no one seems to return my calls or respond to my emails???????? No star!! i need halp!

They don't pick the phone and I found that so absurd ...not pick calls but you're working on a government field ...

I Give NO STARS, I have been trying to call these people for and hour now and every time they drop my call without me even speaking a word to anyone. I find it disgusting and VERY Unprofessional

I think to give 1 star is still a lot if only they can pick up there phones and then finally after 5 minutes someone pick up to only tell you that you must be transferred if possible rather give the public an email address maybe that would work better.A very disappointed caller
