I held a yoga retreat in Vilanculos last September and we all joined a day ride. It was by far the best day of our trip. Pat and Mandy are wonderful horseman and the love and care they have for their horses shows. The horses are well trained and well cared for. The ride was beautiful and those with experience got the chance to run and be free. I highly recommend this excursion if you are looking for an amazing experience and a breathtaking ride with knowledgable guides.

As a fairly experienced rider from the UK on my honeymoon with my wife who is not a rider. The experience is perfect, allowing me to have the freedom to ride and allowing her to have a groom assist her. We did the beach ride and another day we did the water sea ride with the horses which was magical! Paul was our instructor and his parents own the stables and their story about how they ended up in Mozambique is amazing. They have some lovely horses and the local staff who work as grooms are all lovely and some of them speak good English as well which helps if you don’t speak Portuguese.

Mozambique Horse Safaris do the most lovely beach rides I have ever been on, and take such good care of their horses and staff. The horses are very well mannered and well groomed, and the beaches are stunning.

Will definitely be coming back many more times. Mandy and Pat have created an absolute and awesome experience for us locals with rates tailor made to fit our pockets. I felt like royalty. Mandy and Maria were perfect hostesses and my family had a blast. Thank you guys.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience. To have the opportunity to swim with horses in the ocean was an epic experience one that will be etched in my memory forever.The story of this place is unbelievable and what they offer in terms of professionalism was outstanding. I have to say that the wonderful owners and staff made this such a special experience for me, a big thanks to them all.

For one day my friend and I volunteered at the Mozambique horse safari,and let me just say for the rest of the holiday we couldn't stop coming back.Most of the horses names were Coco,Daisy,Brutus,lady,black magic, black beauty,HOT STUFF,Apolo,etc....it was like they were my own horses.I loved grooming and feeding them. It is a experience I won't forget, and after all the work we went and rode them along the beach I loved it .If I ever go back to Moz I am definitely going there first.Thank you so much ×o×o×

Pat and Mandy are the most hard-working genuine people who love their horses and do everything to keep them happy and healthy.Seeing the beautiful splendour of the beaches of Mozambique from horseback is just breathtaking!And the horses were an absolute delight to work with. If you find yourself in Vilankulo, we highly recommend this horse-riding experience - fantastic hosts, who are very knowledgeable about the area and its history.The hosts pay a lot of attention to details, pairing riders with the appropriate horse, which makes for a relaxing and enjoyable ride on the beach.I'm not a great rider, and this was only my third time on a horse, but I felt totally relaxed and could enjoy the ride and the scenery.We will definitely do this again if we visit Vilankulo again!
