Scammers pretend they work there and help you with your car license disk renewal. These scammers know the people working behind the counters by name. He gives you an amount to pay that is twice the actual cost of the new disk, and insists you give the money to him.

Worst service even worse service from employees. Very frustrating and even degrading going there. Dirty!!

Trying everyday to get my license card without success for almost a month. Some days offline".Other day "no water". Other excuses are things like "loadshedding" and the only person that works with license cards leaves early all the time. They close at 15:00 but at 14:30 this person has already left. How difficult can it be for someone to just give me my lisence card. Ive never seen such a no care attitude in my life. Please just close the whole building and do everything by courier. Waste of space and waste of everyones time."

I recently went to this department for a change of particulars and car license renewal.The good:- I was pleasantly surprised by how efficient the service was. Once I was directed to the appropriate line, it was smooth sailing from there since I had all the forms already downloaded/filled and supporting documents on hand.- The staff are friendly and guide you accordingly.- There was plenty of parking available.- Their card payment system was working.The bad:- For every actual employee, there were at least 3 people who eagerly ambush you in order to help" you with the process

If I could select 0 stars out of 5, I WOULD!! This is the worst department ever. You will not hear back from them regarding when your licenses or anything is ready. And don't expect to try contact them to find out what's happening.... their phones are CONSTANTLY off. It's just a money making scam to scam you out of your money with no license renewals in sight... PATHETIC, PATHETIC, PATHETIC!

I just done my licence at the department, the staff are friendly and professional however my only concern is the use of the public toilet situated at the building. Members of the public are stopped from using the toilet by a tall unknown black female who is charging R5 for a few pieces of toilet roll and if u want to urinate it costs R3. If you dont pay you cannot use the toilet. How is it that a public person must pay money to use a public facility. Is this not a form of corruption/ extortion that is levied on public people. Please if there is any form of justice I humbly request that the senior officers of the department address the issue before I escalated the issue .

Very busy office. Expect to spend your whole day. Staff realitively friendly. Open some Saterdays but confirm beforehand before taking the drive. Vendors taking photos for licenses are available

Went to pay a fine. Process was quick and efficient.Why only three stars ? There are obvious scammers outside (foreign accent, pushy, no legitimate proof) and despite numerous complaints the police do nothing. Even the car guards try to get you to talk to the scammers.
