Lovely place. A bit rough for a road caravan but possible if you go slow. Go for a boat cruise with Ray from Kodi Casitas. Kosi mouth fantastic, just make sure you get a permit before you go there, I think the security guard at the entrance pockets quite well...

So far in my travels, the Ezemvelo staff are the only people who have truly made me feel unwelcome. But their attitude should not deter you from visiting. The camp sites are large, which is a blessing and a curse. The curse being they are often used for large family groups, such groups are never quiet. Camp site 16 is the most peaceful and private of all if that is what you are looking for.The facilities are old, in need of attention, but are cleaned every day which makes them acceptable. The camp sites are fine lake sand... if you have little children then you will think its just dirt... oh and it goes everywhere... it can be a challenge for mothers to keep everyone clean... sorry moms, the dirt wins every time.

Beautiful un touched, staff at gate was very helpful. Would be great if if you could see more info on line before driving so far to the destination and not able to reply do anything there if you not prepared. They have 3 hour boat trips, so pack a picnic basket. There is hiking trails. Preferably drive a 4x4 if you would like to see more of the bay and don't go on public holidays as the local take over this area.

The water, you might need a 4x4 to navigate the last portion to the mouth though

Well kept camp site. Tidy, clean and right on the lake. Will go there again. Just remember to take adapters for the caravan plug electric points. No electric points for normal plugs, you need an adapter.

Highly recommended, Gem of South Africa, wasnt expecting much from this place as its remote, not much pics on web and not much talked about, but it's an awesome place for family to spend great time together.

We went for the boatride on lake 2,3 and 4.Knowledgeable tourguide showed us all the fishtraps, birdlife and we snorkeled in the lake. Kosi Bay is a eco friendly area with many lodges and rich bird life in the tree. Unique and precious. I hope they will be guarding this gem for years to come.

Had a wonderful time here the bed's are really comfortable and the tent's are lovely. The BEST thing though is going to the beach, as you turn the corner and see it for the first time it's truly spectacular. Recommend the boat trip on the fishing lake's. Suggest you do the fishing lake's first then visit the beach as you can appreciate where you went on the boat trip on the way back. Food was delicious and the staff very helpful. Highly recommend staying here it was lovely.

A gem on a beautiful lake. Campsites are big and the ones ti go for are on the waters edge. Ablutions are clean and good. Each site has a tap and electricity. One can fish but you can't paddle a canoe because of the hippos. Good security.
