Francois Barber Shop

Good service, at a great price with that old barbershop feel, but hygiene is a huge problem.Owned by Francois who rents out chairs to other barbers. There are roughly six chairs at present (November 2018) with as many barbers renting. Francois is the most popular of all the barbers and clients will ask for him specifically and are prepared to wait until he serves them. Most business is on a walk-in basis, but if you get to know your barber well he'll give you his phone number and you can make an appointment.If you are a regular your barber will remember you name and the way you prefer your hair to be cut. This is especially true of Francois who seems to know most of his clients by name. Their operating hours are from about 7 am to 5.30 pm. Most of the barbers are pretty skillful and up to date with most of the newest trends. Prices start from about R70 for a men's cut.There is no parking on the premises but there is ample parking just across the road. Seating in the waiting area is pretty cramped and uncomfortable, but usually the wait isn't too long. The one major problem I do have, and to be fair is shared by most low cost barbers, is that of hygiene. Cutting tools and equipment are superficially cleaned and not sterilised regularly. The neck-towel that is used under the barber's cape is re-used for every client and I doubt that it is washed on a daily basis. The problem is that the majority of clients do not find this a problem and therefore there is no incentive to improve hygiene. I'd recommend Francois' Barber shop if you need a good cut for an excellent price and are going wash your hair immediately afterwards.

Not serious about business.For a small medium size business, I've never seen such good quality craftsmanship, but must look at better management structures, they can do really well as a brand. I love the shop. It has a friendly and family atmosphere. Lots of lovely converations and the Barbers are all competend and make you feel at home and put your needs first.

Reasonable prices for haircuts coupled with quality service. Friendly staff with helpful advice on hair care and product. They cut girls hair as well (scissor cuts) and give off this amazing energy of the pride they take in their craft. As a first timer I must say I'll definitely go back...I was given the perfect cut and style to suit my features and I have never been more satisfied by anyone else cutting my hair.

Clean environment, with good barbers and friendly conversations. WiFi available aswell. Can get very busy so choose your time of day wisely.

Not happy, I cut men's hair myself. I do fades etc... And I was very specific to this barber as to how I wanted my hair to look. He talks too much while cutting my hair too. Went home with a trim that has affected nothing. I rate his work a 2/10 my fade isn't even a fade. Gatjies in the fade. my second experience here is even worse than the first.You got my details.

Very good barbershop. I checked it out and fell in love with the place. Sadly i will never go there again. I do clean shave, first time i paid 50 bucks i didnt mind. Last time i paid 70 bucks for a shave. They charge 60 bucks to style long hair. But 70 bucks to take all your hair off. No style nothing. Just straight forward shave. Ive never been back there. It was christmas time so i dont know if they automatically includes a christmas box but that was ridiculous. 50 to 70 in 3 months? And every cutter has a different price. I will never go back to that place again
