Galileo open air cinema, blankets were R10 and backrests R20. You are able to bring a blanket. This is recommended. It does become chilly the later the night goes on. Movie starts after sunset.Great atmosphere. Not much options for food, but what is available, is nice. Oldie movies but classics.

A memorable experience! It was my first time and I'd love to go at least once a month for the experience. We saw a shooting star whilst the movie was playing which made it even that more special. The magic of being outdoors at night! The food was delicious and the quality of the movie and comfortable seating with helpful staff made it a perfect date night.

So much fun! Wonderful spot to have an open air movie event, the scenery is spectacular, the vibe is amazing, to spend an evening with like minded people, watching a movie that we all enjoy. Such a great experience to share with strangers and friends. Will definitely be back next year when open air cinema starts up again, during the summer months. It does get a bit cold so either bring along a lot of warm clothes and blankets. Or rent a blanket here.

A wonderful experience. I enjoyed being surrounded by nature whilst watching a movie on a giant screen. The sound quality was phenomenal. I loved the feeling of connected-ness that came from everyone reacting and laughing together at the different scenes in the movie. :)

If you know, you know... it doesn't get any better than this! The galileo team is extremely well coordinated, the movie run seamlessly and its such a fun time. They really are great at what they do!

We arrived at 17:40, (no signs to indicate that you have to park at the 2nd gate) there was a que, but they started letting people in before 6pm and the que went very quickly. The ushers were very energetic and friendly, showed us where a good seating would be (which btw is in the middle as close as possible). We set up our little spot and then ventured into the gardens to enjoy the beautiful nature and quals and ducks. We got pizza, wine, Astros and popcorn. In summer the movie only starts at 20:30, so bring along a book or cards or friends...whatever you need to keep busy. The movie was great and a fantastic experience under the moon and stars.Next time I will just bring more pillows, cos the back rests are not that comfy and the lower back/bum can take strain. And I would bring more food and drinks,Leaving the facility around 22:45 went smoothly. Overall a wonderful experience!

Such a nice spot for a date night or an outing with friends and family. The food vendors provide a couple of comfort food options (pizza, burgers, wraps) that make it easy to get a bite to eat at the venue. Make sure to get there as early as you can after gates open if you want a seat close to the front, as the space fills up quickly. That being said, visibility is good from all the seats, so it doesn't matter that much if you're further back. Each time I have gone it has been well organised and run to schedule.

While the open air cinema standard ticket is a great experience, we were horribly disappointed by the VVIP experience. As a birthday treat, we decided to purchase tickets which cost more than 3 times the standard price under the expectation of receiving equal value. The description stated wine, special seating, and an artisinal cheese board which amounted to a fluffy picnic blanket on the ground under our seats which were identical to anyone else's, a thin, budget blanket, a R90 bottle of wine which anyone could purchase at the back of the venue, and some stale cream crackers with cottage cheese and an olive/sundried tomato or strawberry on top as well as some smarties, jelly tots and packet popcorn. A huge waste of money and massively dissapointing as a birthday gift. Would never recommend. You can just bring your own drinks, snacks and blanket and save yourself over R1000 to do something more worthwhile and special with.
