Arniston Hotel Restaurant
Where to begin… for starters, our food took a whole hour to arrive. Secondly, the waiting time between when our meals arrived was around 5-10 minutes, most of our table had already finished their food once ours had arrived. Many of us ordered the pint of prawns, the rice (which we had not asked for, and to which we would have preferred fries) tasted microwaved and to our disbelief we were greeted with only 5 prawns ?! How is that a pint ?! We had also ordered the butternut ravioli… this dish was not only lukewarm, stale but had a hair in it. Once calling our waitress over to inform her of this, she did not apologize, but rather took the plate away and left without saying a word. Just to prove how terrible our food was, all 15 of us raves about how we should’ve instead ordered the childrens’ mac and cheese.Overall I strongly do not recommend this restaurant as both the service and food is nothing more than unsatisfactory.

Beautiful view but chilly outside so dress warm if you're sitting on the veranda. Service was poor, had to wait over an hour for food. They were really busy though. Food not great either but they did have a good selection of kiddies meals which were tasty. Complained to manager who was very professional and handled it well.

If you are craving seafood and you are in Arniston, the restaurant at the Arniston Hotel is a great option. The food is tasty and nicely presented, and the best part is the magnificent view over the bay. Their strawberry daiquiri's are also delicious and they had fresh beer on-tap. It was also nice to see how friendly and welcoming the staff were. As we arrived just before the lunch hour rush we got the best seat in the house, but by the time we left there were quite a couple of people so I recommend you arrive early, have a couple of drinks and just enjoy the view. We went while it was lockdown level 2 (Covid-19) and it was good to see that they are fully respecting social distancing with their seating arrangements and have handsanitzer at the entrance of the restaurant, as well as a no mask

Arniston Hotel Restaurant
When ever we stay in Arniston we eat at the hotels restaurant. We had the calamari and the fish of the day. Both were great. Definitely will try the ribs next time as they looked amazing.Staff are friendly and service is good.If you like the wines there, you can also pick up bottle or 2 at the bottle store behind the hotel.

“Food is okay. Not good not bad but ok. Pizza was oily but tasted alright. Not good not bad but ok. I dont really know what to say. 2.5 stars. The most mid place ive ever been to.” - props to @mudge, couldn’t say it better.The views are worth it, the food is necessary as it’s the only restaurant in Arniston people say. The waitress behaved so indifferent about our existence as well upon our entrance.

My friends and I ended up opting with the hotel when we failed to find fresh fish in Arniston for Christmas, the food was delicious nonetheless.
